Chapter 1882:
Belinda’s laugh was sharp, as though she’d just heard the most absurd joke.
“So, I should be thankful to you and Baker? That you spared me from being left to rot on the streets? You mean to say—you handed off your own child to a wealthy family, to grow up with every privilege, while you raised a discarded infant from the hospital? Tell me, Holley… do you truly think I’m stupid enough to believe that?”
Her voice rose at the end suddenly, fierce and biting, her presence radiating danger.
Holley quivered in fear, her body trembling so violently that she could not utter a word.
Hearing such brazen lies from Holley, Kenia shut her eyes in anguish once more.
She couldn’t comprehend it…
She had lived her whole life with kindness, yet why… why had she raised a daughter so cruel, so steeped in lies?
“Actually,” Belinda said, her lips curling into a smile again, “even if you refuse to admit it, I already know the truth. Kylee… she’s your biological daughter, isn’t she?”
The words sent Holley’s heart spiraling into panic. She blurted out her denial at once, “No! She has nothing to do with me!”
But her frantic protest only exposed the truth.
Belinda lowered her gaze, her voice steady, almost reflective.
“Looking back, it all adds up. From the moment I returned to the Wright family, you insisted I yield to Kylee, to let her win in exams. That all had a reason. And when I was attacked, you deliberately went to the Grand Plains General Hospital and announced it publicly. You did it not out of concern for me, but to get revenge for Kylee.”
Her tone hardened as she continued, “And when Minna tried to kill me, you were the one who conveniently sent me there to buy pastries. By then, Kylee must have already known the truth—that you are her real mother.”
As those memories flooded back, Belinda felt fury surge through her veins, threatening to consume her.
But Holley shook her head violently, refusing every word.
“No! That’s not true! It’s not like that. I have no connection to Kylee! She is not my daughter!”

Belinda’s expression remained unnervingly calm.
“You didn’t come here today just to ask about Sarai. Your real purpose was to drug me. You were hoping I’d drink the juice you tampered with. Let me guess—you did this because Carola already took Kylee’s blood for a DNA test. You knew once the results came back, Kylee’s true parentage would be exposed. And when that happens, you and Baker—the ones who swapped the babies—will finally face consequences. So, you tried to drug me before that. You wanted to ruin me before I could reunite with Carola. Am I right about all of this?”
Her voice trembled slightly as she reached the end of her words.
