When Sarai, injured and unconscious, apologized to Kenia, it seemed like a calculated move to exploit Kenia’s compassion and secure her forgiveness.
Such a tactic might work on someone as kind-hearted as Kenia, but not on Belinda.
Thus, Sarai’s abrupt return and the dramatic way she reentered their lives left Belinda deeply suspicious.
Belinda exchanged a glance with Lucas, their eyes reflecting a shared mix of caution and resolve.
She gave a faint smile. “Since she wants to come back, I will let her. Let’s see what she’s really up to.”
Lucas nodded instantly, a spark of agreement in his eyes.
“Exactly my thoughts.”
They shared a quiet, knowing smile.
That evening, Belinda took charge of preparing dinner. Afterward, she and Lucas joined Kenia for a stroll in the estate’s backyard.
Given the unsettling incident earlier that day, they opted to stay close to home rather than wander the area.
“Belinda, has the hospital called with any updates about Sarai?” Kenia asked, her voice tinged with worry for Sarai.
Belinda hooked her arm through Kenia’s, her voice soft and reassuring. “If the doctor hasn’t called, it means Sarai’s doing fine.”
“That’s a relief,” Kenia replied, her tension visibly easing.
After that, neither Belinda nor Lucas brought up Sarai again, and Kenia didn’t mention her either.
Once their evening stroll concluded, Kenia retired to her room to rest.
Belinda and Lucas returned to their own room as well.

Belinda steadied herself, and they both sat on the sofa to review the footage.
As the police had described, the footage showed the robber entering the restroom with the security guard who had let him in. Moments later, only one person emerged.
Though dressed in a security uniform, the individual had the hat pulled low over their face.
It was unmistakably Jarrett.
Lucas and Belinda continued watching as the entire incident played out.
After the footage ended, they sat in silence, processing what they had seen.
