Chapter 97:
“Assistant Wilson, this dress was personally chosen by Mr. Kennedy.” Nathan couldn’t help but speak up.
“What?” Charlotte looked at Kennedy, who for the first time avoided her gaze, and scoffed, “I picked it out? How come I don’t know about this?”
Nathan: “Well, I picked it, sorry, Assistant Wilson.”
Charlotte: “……”
Nathan didn’t quite understand Kennedy’s attitude toward Charlotte, but as a subordinate he could only pretend not to know anything.
“Go away now.” Kennedy reminded Charlotte, and only then did Charlotte step forward and push her wheelchair.
The three of them entered the elevator together. Soon they arrived at the banquet venue.

On the way, however, Charlotte took in the scenery along the road and did not find the lake that Kennedy said.
Kennedy had fooled her.
There was no lake.
Thinking about this, Charlotte angrily pushed him, “You lied to me again. I didn’t see the lake.”
Hearing the words, Kennedy couldn’t help but say, “Idiot.”
Because her voice was too small, Charlotte couldn’t hear her. Unconsciously, she leaned forward, “What did you say?”
Kennedy looked back at her and saw her chest. He said, “Lift your head.”
Charlotte didn’t understand, but still raised her head as he said.
“Don’t put your head down. There were a lot of people here, and if she put her head down, she would be exposed.
It was okay for her to see him, but the idea that others might see him too made Kennedy very unhappy.
Damn it, she should have chosen a more conservative dress for herself.
Charlotte felt puzzled, “What’s the matter?”
“Can you be a virtuous woman?”
Hearing this, Charlotte’s eyes widened, “Am I not a virtuous woman?”
Charlotte looked down at the skirt she was wearing and laughed, “Mr. Kennedy, you chose the skirt, didn’t you, now you’re saying I’m not a virtuous woman?”
Kennedy, “Nathan said I chose the skirt.”
Nathan, “I’m sorry, next time I’ll choose the tighter one.”
Kennedy gave Nathan a warning look and Nathan could only scream inwardly.
Kennedy’s appearance was sensational. Although he was in a wheelchair, the Moore Family was the best family in B-town and Kennedy was the president of the Moore Group, naturally attracting the attention of countless people.
When the light and eyes fell on Kennedy, Charlotte also attracted attention. She wore a light blue-gray dress, with her soft hair charmingly draped over her shoulders.
Naturally, she also attracted the attention of many men and women present.
Kennedy rarely attended the banquet. Since he had become president of the Moore Group, he had only attended the banquet about 5 to 6 times.
So Kennedy became mysterious in the upper class circle.
This man was handsome and mysterious with business acumen.
However, since he never approached women, there was a rumor that he was infertile. Even if there were many people who wanted to approach the Moore Family, after hearing that Kennedy was infertile, they would think of their own daughters.
Now Kennedy brought a woman to attend, she would naturally attract attention.
“Who is the woman next to Mr. Kennedy? She’s beautiful.”
“The skirt alone is worth a lot of money, she has no other special features. She can be just Mr. Kennedy’s assistant.”
“I have heard that Mr. Kennedy has, in fact, recently had an assistant, who attended a party with him last time. But last time she was dressed in an ordinary way, so everybody didn’t pay attention to her.”
“So that’s it. I thought this woman could break the rumor.”
Several men burst out laughing.
“If she’s just an assistant, we can ask her out. She’s pretty, maybe she’s good in bed.”
“That’s a good idea, but I saw her first, so don’t take her away from me.”
“Can’t we take turns or do it together?”
“Hahahahahaha.”
Facing those eyes coming from all directions, Charlotte nervously lowered her gaze, unconsciously clenched her hands. Black shadows appeared in front of her eyes.
The old problem seemed to resurface.
Charlotte’s mouth was dry and her steps faltered.
Noticing her abnormal behavior, Kennedy squinted, “What’s going on?”
Charlotte shook her head, “I’m fine.”
But her voice was already trembling slightly.
Kennedy frowned and thought that when she confronted those people who blamed her, she almost fainted.
If she hadn’t restrained her in time, she might have fainted.
Charlotte only felt her eyes grow darker and darker, but she could only bite her lower lip.
Kennedy’s large palm lay on the back over her palm, and he said softly, “Why are you nervous?”
The voice was powerful. Her palm was like a fire, burning straight through his blood, straight through his heart.
Charlotte was still tense, but now she froze as she listened to his words. Her eyelids twitched slightly, and she looked at the back of Kennedy’s head.
He seemed to know what had happened to her, and added, “With me around, no one will dare touch you.”
This sentence was like a bell, striking Charlotte’s heart with a thud.
She heard her heartbeat quicken. Kennedy suddenly grew taller. The power of being attended made her lose her fear. When she looked up again, the sparkle had returned to her eyes.
Charlotte didn’t know her symptoms could be cured. Ever since that incident, she had been afraid of crowds, especially when all eyes were on her.
