So he followed them. She had a similar experience at her previous job, when her boss asked her to fix a difficult contract and the other party refused to meet with her.
She had to personally go to the other party’s boss, but the boss avoided her, so she followed him, showing up wherever the boss showed up, and finally the boss agreed to give her a chance.
Once she got the chance, Charlotte wouldn’t let it go, so she quickly helped the company sign the contract.
Charlotte followed Kennedy to a villa and realized she had been here before. When she was at the hospital for a check-up and suddenly a group of people came in, knocked her unconscious and took her away. When she woke up, she saw Kennedy.
Were the two women in the same situation as her?
Why did Kennedy hit those pregnant women?
Seeing that they were getting out of the car, Charlotte asked the driver to stop and then followed them silently.
The driver looked at her curiously, and Charlotte felt his peculiar look and said, “I’m going to catch the cheater.”
Hearing that, the driver immediately opened his eyes and pointed to the people in front of him. Charlotte nodded.
“Go fight!” Upon learning the truth, the driver encouraged her and whispered, “I’ll get out and wait for you. You can take my car if you need it.”
Charlotte couldn’t help but laugh, “Okay.”
But after thinking about it, Charlotte added, “If I don’t come out after fifteen minutes, you can go.”
“Okay, okay.”
After the driver left, Charlotte followed stealthily to the door of the villa.
There was no one watching, and the villa door was open like this, so obviously everyone was inside.
Charlotte’s petite figure quickly entered, followed Kennedy and Nathan inside. She was thankful there was a lot of vegetation around the place, which allowed her to hide.
“Mr. Kennedy, they’re on the second floor, let’s take the elevator up.”
“Mm.”
Charlotte listened outside, wanting to step forward and follow her, but suddenly felt it wasn’t right.
This was someone else’s business, why had she come to get involved?
But she couldn’t suppress her curiosity, so she slowly stood up, and watched all those people follow Kennedy to the elevator, and then the place was empty.
Charlotte thought she’d better take a look around.
When she got to the stairs, she heard the sound of a wheelchair rolling. Charlotte was already familiar with that sound. It was Nathan pushing Kennedy.
Charlotte, lying behind the door, saw through a small gap how they entered a room. The door to the room was not closed, but Charlotte could not see anything. She was curious, so she opened the door a crack, trying to get out to listen.
In the room were two pregnant women hugging each other. Their eyes were tinged with fear. When they pushed the door open, they were so frightened they screamed and didn’t dare move.
“Upstairs, Mr. Kennedy wants to ask you something!”
Nathan saw the rude look on his men’s faces, so he couldn’t help but reprimand them, “You can keep your voice down, you’re going to scare them off!”
The man’s face changed and he retreated to the side, not daring to speak again.
Nathan stepped forward to calm the two pregnant women, “Don’t be afraid, Mr. Kennedy just has a few questions for you. We have no malice, you just have to answer and then you can leave.”
Nathan’s voice was relatively soft, which caused the two pregnant women to look his way. Nathan noticed that the two women were quite beautiful, but their bodies were normal. There was nothing special about them.
Was one of them the one Mr. Kennedy was looking for?
One of the women looked at Nathan and then at Kennedy, “Can we leave after answering questions?”
“Of course.” Nathan nodded, “But be sure to answer seriously, no pretense.”
One of them looked at Kennedy and pursed her lips, “Mr. Kennedy, from the Moore Group in B-town?”
Nathan was surprised, “You know him?”
The woman nodded and looked at Kennedy with a different look, but didn’t speak.
“Well, let me ask you, where did you go and what did you do on June 13?” Nathan’s question was very direct.
One of them answered quickly. Nathan narrowed his eyes after listening and asked her, “Is it all true?”
The woman nodded and then Nathan asked, “You went for a pregnancy test today. I heard that you are single, and who is the father?”
At these words, the woman’s face changed slightly. She was nervous and grabbed the corner of her skirt, “Does it matter?”.
“Answer the question truthfully, or else……” Nathan had a cold voice.
The woman shivered in fear, looked at Nathan and then looked at the cold-faced Kennedy. Knowing it wasn’t easy to mess with these two, she bit her lower lip and then explained.
“From my ex. He cheated on me. I’ve gone to check if I’m pregnant, if I am, I’ll abort. I’ve made it very clear, can you let me go now?”. Kennedy’s gaze bore into her hard and then she said, “Yes.” Nathan nodded and asked someone to take her out.
There was another one left, and Nathan stared at her.
“Your turn, tell us, where did you go and what did you do that day?”. The woman froze, her eyes rolling.
“Who are you, what are you doing here?”
Suddenly, a shout was heard from outside. Nathan’s expression changed and he looked outside.
“There’s a stranger coming in, hurry up and catch her.”
Charlotte stepped out of the stairwell and quietly approached the door, wanting to hear what they were saying, but the distance was a bit great, she couldn’t hear clearly at all. She could only hear a few words now and then, like June, pregnancy, boyfriend.
Through these few words Charlotte simply didn’t know what was going on. As she was about to approach, she was bumped by the men coming out.
“Get her!”
Charlotte came to, turned and tried to run.
The men moved quickly, and there were many of them, quickly surrounding Charlotte to the ground. Kennedy appeared in the circle around her, followed by Nathan. When she saw that it was Charlotte, Kennedy’s brow almost curled into a ball.
“How come you’re here?”
