Chapter 72:
“Why should I?” Kennedy spoke coldly.
Charlotte frowned slightly unable to understand him. “If he was the one who advocated the marriage, why didn’t he disclose it if he found out I wasn’t Christina?”
“Heh.” Kennedy raised his eyes and looked at her like an idiot, “Your brain was created to be for ornamentation?”
“You…… Do you have to say that?”
“Do I have to?”
Charlotte, “In your eyes, am I a vain, conniving, brainless woman?”
Kennedy tugged at her lips and sneered, “You know yourself well.”
Hearing this, Charlotte clenched her fist and forced herself to look at him, “Then how can a conniving woman be brainless? Kennedy, you’re talking a little contradictory.” Kennedy’s eyelids jumped and he squinted.
This damned woman!
He raised his eyes sharply, his hard gaze shooting her way.
“Say that again?”
Charlotte was startled by his abruptly hard stare, and her shoulders unconsciously shrugged, but her gaze remained steady as she met his.
“Heh.” Kennedy scoffed, was this woman an idiot? She was obviously scared, but she forced herself to meet his eyes.
“If you don’t have the guts, don’t provoke me.”
As she finished her words, the elevator door opened.
Charlotte was so angry that she raised her head and stood up straight.
When Kennedy wanted to scold her, Charlotte stopped her pacing and looked up at him.
Kennedy could see the tangle in Charlotte’s gaze.
This woman really couldn’t hide her emotions.
What was in her heart was on her face and in her eyes.
Charlotte bit her lower lip, looked at Kennedy for a moment and then turned away.
Her thin lips were slightly hooked, and the sharpness under the inky eyes was great. Just when he thought she would reach over and shove him again, Charlotte grimaced at him and then said indignantly, “I don’t have the guts, you go out by yourself.”
After saying that, Charlotte ignored Kennedy’s suddenly blue face, turned around and walked away. “Damn it, come back!”
Kennedy’s hand nimbly slid the wheelchair out of the elevator.
Charlotte walked out of the store alone. As she prepared to go out alone, her footsteps still paused for a moment, and then she looked for Nathan’s figure.
He was leaning against the car, so she reached over and patted him on the shoulder.
“Assistant Wilson, why are you back, haven’t you two gone to breakfast?”
Charlotte’s face was unhinged and she said, “I quit.”
“Why?” Nathan looked behind her and didn’t see Kennedy’s figure, so he asked, “Where’s Mr. Kennedy?”
Charlotte pursed her lips and said quietly, “He’s probably still in the elevator, so go check on him.”
Nathan couldn’t help but stare, “In the elevator? Assistant Wilson? How come you didn’t bring Mr. Kennedy with you? You……”
Before Nathan could finish his words, he suddenly looked behind Charlotte’s back with wide eyes.
At the same time, Charlotte felt a cold sensation on her back, and she didn’t have to think about it to know that it was Kennedy looking at her.
Her body stiffened and she took a step away.
“Dare to take another step forward and you’re dead.”
Before she could take a step, Kennedy’s cold voice was heard, causing Charlotte’s footsteps to stop in place.
Nathan rolled his eyes and quickly retreated from the storm circle and stood at the edge of the road watching from afar.
Charlotte saw this scene and felt some disgust in her heart.
As she felt the cold air of Kennedy’s body moving closer and closer to her, Charlotte became nervous, clenched her hands and turned suddenly.
“I didn’t mean to treat you like that, it’s you who spoke too much……” Before she could finish her words, her knee collided with the wheelchair. She was in pain and fell into Kennedy’s arms.
Kennedy did not expect it and his hand unconsciously held her.
Nathan was very surprised.
How could she fall at that moment?
Charlotte fell into Kennedy’s arms and her brain was stunned. She could feel Kennedy’s large hands squeezing her waist, with the warmth of her palm running through the thin clothing.
“Are you throwing yourself at me to make amends for your mistake?” A deep voice sounded above her head.
Charlotte raised her head sharply and her red lips brushed Kennedy’s firm chin.
Kennedy was stunned and darkened his eyes. Charlotte wanted to push him away, but there was no place to put her hands. If she leaned against his body, she worried that the morning would happen again. So she could only speak anxiously, “I didn’t mean to …… you…… let me get up.” He said quietly.
Kennedy’s wolf-like gaze fiercely seized her, then latched onto her red lips.
“You didn’t mean to? Was it an accident? If you want to seduce me, say it out loud, I can do anything you want.” His hands pinched her waist and pressed her slowly, her body temperature slowly rising.
Charlotte blushed instantly, bit her lower lip, felt the strange looks from the others and pushed fearfully at Kennedy, “This, we’re out, don’t do this. Let go of me.”
Her voice was panicked. Her eyes showed she was nervous, like a still lake suddenly boiling.
Kennedy hooked her lips, his big hand moving up along her waist, moving to her back, touching her spine, only to find that this woman was so thin.
“Let go of me!”
Charlotte pushed him away. Kennedy came to her senses and pushed her back fiercely.
Charlotte stood up with a curtsy, and was now lying across his body as she was pressed down by him.
‘Mr. Kennedy, even if you want to upset Asst. Wilson, you should look at the occasion.’
Nathan, however, only dared to say that in his heart.
“What the hell do you want?” Charlotte was so angry that she clenched her fist, slamming it hard into Kennedy’s chest.
Kennedy squeezed her wrist expressionlessly, saying expressionlessly, “You’re always thinking about how to seduce me, isn’t this what you want?”
