Chapter 63:
Diana reached out and intended to push the door.
Charlotte was surprised and quickly ran to pull Diana.
Diana pouted, “Let me see.”
Charlotte gave her no chance and pulled her back into place, “Diana, leave him or he’ll lose his temper.”
“Well, I’ll wait until he gets off work, was he always mad at you?”
Charlotte thought about it and said with a slight nod, “No, but my marrying into the Moore Family is a nuisance to him, and he has leg problems, so I can understand his temper.”
“Really?” Diana thought about it, “Actually I think since he let you stay in the Moore Family, it means he’s good, and I don’t think he’s infertile. It may not be the same as rumored.”
When Kennedy left after work, Charlotte took Diana into the office.
“Just a peek, you can’t stay long or touch anything, or they’ll find you.”
After looking around the office, Diana left with Charlotte and sent her home. On the way, she said, “Charlotte, can I come to your house tonight?”. Hearing this, Charlotte was surprised.
Diana smiled uncomfortably, “I mean I’m coming to your house as a guest. No one has come to visit you since you’ve been married to the Moore Family for so long, have they? I think I should go and let them know you have someone to back you up, so they won’t dare bully you.”
He said it with convincing arguments, and Charlotte didn’t think much of it, but just hung her eyes and said nothing.
She didn’t speak and looked unhappy. There was a little panic in Diana’s heart, and her hand on the steering wheel trembled, then she said, “If it’s inconvenient, I won’t go.”
“I was thinking, it’s true that no one has come to visit me since I got married.”
Diana’s driving motion gave a jolt. She said, “So I’m going. You can think of me as your family.”
Charlotte smiled and suddenly wrapped her arms around Diana’s neck, “Diana, thank you.”
Then they arrived at the house. But she had no status in the Moore Family, she had to tell Reynold. On her way, she ran into Manfred.
Hearing this, Manfred explained to her in a soft voice, “Grandfather is still angry about what happened earlier, so I don’t suggest you go to see him. However, you can tell me.”
Charlotte thought about it and then told Manfred about inviting Diana to the house, and when she finished, she lowered her head and said shyly, “I don’t know if it’s okay, so I want to ask him.”
“It’s okay, Charlotte, you’re a member of the Moore Family now too. You can make these decisions yourself, bring your friends if you want.” Manfred was so modest and polite that Charlotte almost wondered if she had misunderstood him.
Charlotte didn’t notice the change in the way Manfred addressed her, and forgot that her name here was Christina.
“Thank you, then I’ll go find my friend first.”
“Well, go ahead,” Manfred smiled and suddenly rubbed his head, “I heard you were at the hospital yesterday, are you all right?”
Charlotte unconsciously took a step back and shook her head, “Thanks for your concern, I’m fine. I’ll go pick up my friend first.”
“I’ll come with you.”
After saying that, Manfred followed behind her and went to get Diana.
When Diana saw Manfred, her eyes lit up. When she was still wondering who this man was, Manfred had already taken the initiative to extend his hand toward her, “Hi, I’m Manfred Moore.”
“Hi, I’m Diana.” Diana reacted quickly and did not deprive herself of shaking Manfred’s hand.
“Welcome to the Moore Family.”
“Thank you.”
“You guys entertain yourselves first, I have to go.”
Charlotte led Diana upstairs, and as the two entered the elevator, Diana asked, “Is that the older Kennedy brother? He looks handsome, and his personality seems very good. He must be very good to you, right?”.
Hearing that, Charlotte remembered for a moment, then nodded, “Well, Kennedy’s older brother is actually a very good person.”
“Although he’s quite handsome, I think Kennedy looks better! The deep-set eyes and the masculine temperament, tsk ……”
Charlotte looked at her quizzically, and Diana coughed lightly, “I’m complimenting your husband!”
When they reached the bedroom door, Charlotte suddenly had a dilemma. She bit her lower lip and stood still, how could she forget that she was now in the same room as Kennedy? If she accepted Diana, would Kennedy accept her?
“What is it?”
“Attendant Wilson, are you back?” as he pondered, Nathan pushed Kennedy this way. At the sight of Kennedy, Charlotte’s gaze changed and she subconsciously took a small step backward.
This subtle action fell into Kennedy’s eyes. A slight sneer surfaced in the back of her eyes.
The woman really seemed to be afraid of him, and it was the kind of fear that came from the heart. The natural reaction of a person’s body couldn’t fool anyone.
“Yes. I’m back. Mr. Kennedy, this is Diana, my friend.” He still introduced Diana to Kennedy.
As soon as she saw Kennedy, Diana’s beautiful eyes seemed to see the light. Her gaze was glued to Kennedy’s face and she couldn’t move, then she hooked her lips and flashed her trademark smile to greet Kennedy.
“Mr. Kennedy, I’m Diana, we’ve already met at the hospital.” After saying that, she winked at Kennedy, her heart like a deer lurching.
Kennedy raised his eyes and looked at her.
Diana immediately felt her heart seize!
A man like that was super nice.
Diana couldn’t stop her heart from pounding when she saw Kennedy!
However, Kennedy’s gaze only swept her face and then retreated, only to fall on Charlotte.
Charlotte’s back froze at his icy stare. He explained quietly, “If I’m taking your place, I’ll take it outside.”
“Welcome.”
At this moment, however, Kennedy suddenly looked at Diana and spoke.
The voice was neither cold nor warm, but it was enough to make Diana’s heart beat madly with her.
Nathan watched this scene and sensed that something was wrong.
