Crazy for her – Chapter 47

Crazy for her - Chapter 47

Chapter 47:

“No.”

Charlotte turned away.

Kennedy’s eyes were still cold, and his words were like a poisoned knife.

“I hope the next time you sit in a coffee shop as my assistant and talk to someone about cooperation, you don’t tarnish my image.”

Charlotte turned a little pale at the mention of her clothes again. “Are clothes really that important, do you care that much about appearances?”

“There’s no need to look into the heart of a person who isn’t even capable of basic dress.”

Charlotte, “……”

She was speechless.

Charlotte was so angry that she wanted to leave, but didn’t when she saw him sitting in the wheelchair. If she left, what would he do when he got in trouble?

So she could only stay in her seat. After a while, the clerk said to Kennedy, “Sir, the clothes have been packed.”

“Send it to this address.” Kennedy handed her a card with his name on it. The clerk took it and then widened her eyes, “The Moore Group? You’re from there?” She nodded her head.

“Okay, okay, I get it!”

In City B, few people didn’t know the Moore Group.

“Can we go now?” Charlotte didn’t want to stay here any longer, she said when they finished their conversation.

Kennedy agreed. And Charlotte shoved him away.

There was the murmur of several saleswomen before they left.

“I’m jealous. Who is that woman? Mr. Kennedy bought her so many clothes.”

“I don’t know, she doesn’t seem to have any money. I wish someone would do that for me.”

“Why does Cinderella always find the prince, and why can’t we?”

Charlotte listened to these comments and secretly squeezed her fingers.

Maybe she really was Cinderella. After all, she had nothing and her parents didn’t want her. However, she clearly knew that Moore was not her prince.

Diana was right in her words.

To Charlotte, who was pregnant and had remarried, Moore was dangerous to her.

After returning home, Charlotte went back to her room and Kennedy went to the study.

Charlotte checked the information. Suddenly she thought of something, grabbed her phone as well as her purse and went outside.

The Wilson Family.

“Mom, why did you make dinner again that I don’t like? I’m not having dinner today.” Christina sat down at the table, picked up the chopsticks and checked that she didn’t like the food, so she put down the chopsticks and bowl, got up and prepared to leave.

Seeing this, Belinda got up and stopped her.

“Christina, you’re thin and you’re still picky about food.”

“Mom, I’m not picky. But you’re bad at cooking. I can’t eat what you cook.” Christina said angrily and went upstairs.

“Christina…” Belinda sighed helplessly, sat back down at the table and whispered, “Let’s have dinner first, and I’ll bring you something you like later.”

Bruno sat across from her, anger in his eyes, “You spoil her. Look what she’s become. She won’t even eat her dinner, let her starve.”

Hearing this, Belinda’s face changed, “Bruno, how can you say that? She’s your daughter.”

“My daughter? What good is a daughter like that? She’s underachieving academically and can’t help the family. And she’s picky about food.” Bruno sighed, “I wonder how Charlotte is doing now.”

At the mention of Charlotte, Belinda’s face grew paler.

“Is Charlotte okay? She hasn’t called us since she got married, and I’m embarrassed to call her.”

“How could you let her fill in for Christina? She just got divorced.”

“What’s the matter, are you blaming me? I had consulted with you, you agreed, and you’re blaming me?”

Bruno didn’t speak.

“You think I’m not sorry? I’m sorry for Charlotte, but we only have two daughters. Charlotte got divorced and couldn’t find a good family to marry into. I can’t let Christina have a life like her.” Bruno was silent.

The doorbell rang.

Belinda put down the bowl and chopsticks and whispered, “Maybe it’s Christina’s boyfriend.”

After opening the door, Belinda was mildly startled, “Charlotte?”

Charlotte stood awkwardly in the doorway. “Mom.”

“Why are you here?” Belinda thought it was Christina’s boyfriend.

Charlotte stood in place and was completely confused to see the disappointment on Belinda’s face.

She was embarrassed.

She married into the Moore Family for Christina, and her parents have started to hate her?

Wasn’t she welcomed back from the Moore Family?

Charlotte’s eyes were dull and she whispered, “Mom, I came back for something.”

Hearing the melancholy in her voice, Belinda realized she had made a mistake. She smiled kindly and gently took Charlotte’s hand, “I thought you were Christina’s boyfriend. Have you had dinner yet? Come in. We’re having dinner, come and eat.”

Charlotte walked into the house. Bruno saw her, got up and walked towards her.

“Charlotte, have you had dinner? Sit down and eat together.”

Charlotte had not eaten with her family for a long time. Seeing the family table and smelling the delicious food, she nodded her head and said, “Okay.” After sitting down, Charlotte found the table empty.

“Where’s Christina?”

“Christina is in a bad mood and not eating.” Smiling, Bruno put a piece of meat in Charlotte’s bowl and explained quietly.

Charlotte was surprised, “She’s still picky about food?”

“Your sister is spoiled by your mother. Come, eat more. You’ve lost weight these days – have you had a hard time in the Moore Family?”

Here, Bruno suddenly saddened and put down his chopsticks.

“It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have let you replace Christina to marry into the Moore Family.”

“Bruno, what are you talking about?” Belinda said, “Now it’s done. Don’t say that.”

“Dad, I’ll be fine.” Charlotte said with a smile, “They’re nice to me. I’m just trying to lose weight lately. Besides, the Moore Family is famous in B-town. I am satisfied that I can marry into a rich family after getting divorced.”

Hearing this, Belinda was gratified, “Charlotte, it’s good that you have that thought. In fact, you are already divorced, and it is good that you are marrying into the Moore Family.”
