When Alice arrived at the company, she was surprised by the scene in front of her.
She had imagined it would be a small company.
In general, the start-up company was relatively small as a studio. It always started small when starting a business.
However, Alice had not expected Zain to give her a building.
Although it could not compare to the Nelson Group building, it was similar to the buildings surrounding it. When she walked into it, she thought her company was on one of the floors.
But Megan said, “The whole building is your company’s place.”
Yanis gasped when he heard what Megan said. Then he grabbed Alice’s arm and said, “Zain is rich. He is very generous to you.”
What Yanis said was true.
But he seemed a bit extravagant.
“Will it be too ostentatious? It’s just a new venture.”
“Miss Alice, you are the daughter of the Nelson Family. You will be supported by your family. It’s just a building. Mr. Nelson will give you whatever you want.”
Alice said, “Come on. I want to take a look at what the company is like.”
“The reception room is on the second floor. You can hire the receptionists and the guards later.”
Megan introduced them to the structure of the building. Then she walked to the elevator and pressed the button.
The elevator door was open. They entered it together.
When they reached the second floor, Megan showed them the rooms.
“There is a kitchen. Miss Alice, you can find a cook and cleaners to your liking.”
Alice nodded and said, “Okay.”
She hadn’t expected her brother to be so considerate. He would only help her find a design team. The rest of the staff she would find herself. She was satisfied.
“On the third floor are the staff offices. Your team members are waiting for you.”
At that moment they were about to go to the third floor. Before Alice could say anything, Yanis became nervous.
She said, “Are we going to meet them now? I’m nervous – will they look down on us?”
At her words, Megan turned to give her a look. She smiled and said, “Yanis, take it easy. You are Alice’s assistant. You are her superior.”
Alice nodded and said, “Well, I’ll arrange a position for you. You won’t be worried at that time.”
Yanis felt the world turn magical. Gosh, now she had a promotion!
She hadn’t expected it at all.
Alice was relatively calm because she knew what she was in for.
When they reached the third floor, Megan led them to the office.
A group of people were waiting for them. They wanted to meet the person for whom Mr. Nelson invited them to the company and paid them a high salary. They talked about it in the office.
Rachel: “I am curious to know the gender of our new boss. This is the first time Mr. Nelson has helped a person so much. I want to know who this guy is.” Rachel looked ordinary and spoke with a measured tone.
“It must be a woman. If the person were a man, Mr. Nelson won’t pay much attention to this company.” A man responded and gave them a meaningful smile, which could only be understood by men.
This man was Noah. He was a free designer before. He was a playboy.
Ada said, “I think it will be a woman.” He smiled gently and then opened a book.
Winnie was fine-tuning her makeup with lipstick in her hand. She said, “I don’t care what gender our boss is. As long as this person is qualified to lead a team, I will accept the leader. If this person is incapable, I will not follow. Anyway, we are a team of talents.”
Sean, who was standing next to Winnie, gave her a look and nodded with a smile. He said, “Winnie is right. I like that you’re so fair.”
Hearing his words, Winnie glared at him and said, “None of your business.” Sean just smiled and kept looking at her.
Chloe said nothing as she watched the scene. Then she turned to give a glance to a young man behind her. She asked him, “Hugo, what do you think?”
The young man was wearing a white T-shirt. The hair on his forehead hid his eyes. He kept his head down and was lost in thought. Sunlight streamed in through the window and cast a golden glow on his body. He looked very charming.
Chloe felt drawn to him.
“Hugo?”
Hugo lifted his gaze. He gave Chloe a glance with cold eyes. Then he turned his back.
“Nothing.”
His voice was cold and calm.
When he spoke, the people who were talking turned to give him a look.
The girls were gentle with him because of his pretty face. But he was cold and lonely, they would not like to approach him.
When Chloe heard his words, she felt a little embarrassed. Then she kept quiet.
As they talked, they heard footsteps outside.
“Someone’s coming.” Rachel got up and headed for the door.
These staff knew Megan, who had already contacted them. Rachel was stunned for a while when she saw two women standing next to her.
She wondered about the identities of the two.
“Rachel,” Megan said to her when she saw her.
“Megan.” Other people stood up after Rachel called out to Megan.
“Is Megan here, where’s our new boss?” everyone had gotten up except Hugo.
Finally, Alice and Yanis came into view of them.
Alice wasn’t wearing her sunglasses today. She was dressed in her usual casual clothes.
She wore a white vest, jeans and a blue coat.
She tied her long hair back with a ribbon. She wore no makeup and gave off a very soft look. She smiled gently at them.
She seemed to them to be good-natured.
“Noah, you’re right. Our boss is a woman. She looks very beautiful.”
Winnie closed her cosmetic box tightly. She gave Alice a look with hostile eyes.
She hated women who were prettier than she was.
She expected Alice to be a qualified leader .
