The maid was surprised.
“Mr. Kennedy, I’m just telling you the truth. The young lady really seduced Mr. Manfred just now, don’t you believe me?”
Kennedy looked at her, “Besides you, were there other people?”
The maid thought Kennedy believed what she said, so she shook her head and said again, “I only saw them. But I swear I saw her seduce Mr. Manfred.”
Kennedy scoffed at her, “In other words, it was only you who saw them, and no one can prove that what you have said is the truth.”
The maid understood what he meant, “Mr. Kennedy, I…”
“You envy her to slander her on purpose?”
Kennedy looked at her with his deep eyes, it seemed he could look into her heart and see how ugly she was. The maid was a little startled to see what he was thinking.
“Mr. Kennedy, I don’t lie to you. Please believe me.”
“Good. ” Kennedy scoffed aloud, “Why should I trust a maid and not trust my wife instead?”

When the maid saw him grimace indifferently, she regretted it. She saw that Kennedy did not care about Charlotte, but rather ignored her, so she dared to hurt Charlotte and scolded her, and even thought that Mr. Kennedy would agree with what she did.

However, she didn’t expect Kennedy to behave like that after knowing about it.
“You got his clothes wet.” He told her in an affirmative tone.
The maid panicked, because she didn’t know why he would know that.
“Mr. Kennedy, I…”
“We don’t need a maid as idiotic as you in our Moore Family.” Kennedy looked at her, as if he were looking at a dead man, “If you slander her in front of other people, you should know what will happen to you.”
At that moment, the elevator door opened. Kennedy stepped out swinging the wheelchair.
And the maid was so startled that she fell to the floor.
Charlotte changed her clothes after returning to the room. And then she saw the jacket.
She wanted to give it back to Manfred, but when she picked it up, she saw that it was dirty because of her. So he couldn’t give it back to him now.
So he put it in a bag to take it to the dry cleaners when he had time.
After fixing it, he went out on the street.
Lately, he was going to work by bus. When he came into the company as usual, he would clean the office and then go back to his own desk to work.
When it was time to work, Kennedy and Nathan showed up at the company on time.
He looked at Kennedy when he heard his voice.
Kennedy also seemed indifferent and went back to ignoring her.
Charlotte no longer looked at him, but held the pen tightly in her hands.

Why did she feel Kennedy was angry with her?
Was it because of what had happened in the bedroom? Or was it because of Manfred?

She took the files to Kennedy’s office once, and offered him a cup of coffee twice, but he kept ignoring her.
At noon, Charlotte had lunch in the canteen, and overheard other people talking about it.
“Have you heard the news? I heard that the Moore Group has cancelled cooperation with the Carter Group.”
“Oh, yeah? But the cooperation was important, wasn’t it?”
“I heard that the decision was made by Mr. Kennedy. And he made the decision at the meeting this morning.”
After hearing that, Charlotte felt surprised. He made the decision at this morning’s meeting? When was there a meeting this morning? How could she not have known about it?
“Did Mr. Kennedy make the decision himself? Do you think Mr. Reynold will agree with her?”
“I don’t know. Mr. Kennedy wouldn’t behave like that before. How could he cancel it?
It seems incredible to me.”
Charlotte put a piece of vegetable in her mouth. However, she was occupied with mixed feelings and couldn’t eat it.
She felt bad and thought about what Kennedy had said when he brought Gerald Carter to his knees the night before.
“Mr. Gerald, why are you kneeling, would you like to beg my assistant to promise to cooperate with your company?”

There was silence in the office. Charlotte knocked on the door.
“Come in, please.”
Kennedy’s voice also sounded indifferent.
Charlotte took a deep breath, opened the door and stepped into the office. Kennedy didn’t raise her head. She concentrated on her notebook.
She busied herself with her work and the coffee cup on her desk was empty. It was obvious that he had not eaten lunch. Charlotte thought for a while and wanted to remind him to eat his lunch. At that moment, Kennedy looked up and saw Charlotte, then tapped her fingers on the desk, “Another cup of coffee.”
“Yes.” Charlotte stepped forward and picked up the cup. As she was about to make the coffee for him, she couldn’t help but turn and said, “It’s time for lunch. You should have lunch first.”

Charlotte held the cup tightly as she said that. She was angry, but she had to make another cup of coffee for him.
She set the coffee cup down on his desk and then couldn’t help but tell him again, “Mr. Kennedy, it’s bad for your stomach if you drink coffee without eating anything.”
Kennedy stopped working and looked at Charlotte seriously.
Charlotte felt panic when he looked at her like that. He explained, “As…… your assistant, I must remind you to pay attention to your health.”
“Are you pretending to care about me? Is that one of your methods to seduce me?”, Kennedy told her sarcastically, and he was really unfriendly to her.
That made Charlotte very angry. She bit her lower lip and intended to refute him. However, when she thought about cooperation with the Carter Group, she thought she had to work it out.
“I heard there was a meeting this morning.” Kennedy did not respond.

Charlotte said, “I…”
“That’s impossible.” Kennedy scoffed, “I don’t want to cooperate with the Carter Group just because I think Gerald never pays attention to the work. This is a long-term project, and he’s not qualified to be in charge of this project.” So it wasn’t for her.
She finally felt relaxed.
If it were for her, she would feel very guilty.

“Charlotte bit her lower lip, “No, I don’t think so.”
