Chapter 346:
Zain didn’t say anything, but Charlotte felt a little embarrassed.
She took the card out of her room and opened the door, then went inside.
“Come in, please.”
Zain entered the room with a bag in his hand.
“Marco told me everything.”
Charlotte put her bag on the table and nodded. She said, “Well, since you have researched me, you must know my past experience.”
Zain said nothing, but the expression on his face showed that he knew.
It was better that he knew.
He wouldn’t have to repeat it if he asked her for help. Since Zain clearly knew his experience, it saved him trouble.
“Well, can I ask you to do me a favor?”
Hearing this, Zain nodded with a smile and said, “Yes, but…”
But? Charlotte was a little confused – did he need her to do something?
“I can’t help you if you’re not my relative. You admit that you’re a daughter of the Nelson Family?”
Charlotte, “…”
That was not what she expected.
Charlotte was speechless.
“Mr. Nelson, I…”
“You still call me Mr. Nelson?” Zain smiled and looked at her gently.
Charlotte had always thought Zain was quiet and difficult to approach ever since she met him. He always gave the impression of being emotionless. He belonged to the type of person who refused to have anything to do with all relatives for the sake of fairness.
She did not expect him to be so gentle and kind to her.
Was it the magic of kinship?
She looked at Zain and didn’t know what to do. Then, somehow, she called him Zain. She sounded like she was delighted by the familial affection.
However, she said it very softly. She quickly covered her mouth with her hand and didn’t want to call him that again.
It was enough for him.
He reached out his hand again. Charlotte wanted to hide, but somehow she stood still and Zain’s palm touched her head.
He gently rubbed the back of her neck and smiled brightly at her.
“Good. Our Nelson Family will always support you. I am your older brother. You are a member of my family. I will help you with anything you need.”
He told her in a very gentle voice. She blinked and nodded her head.
“What do you want to do?” Zain asked her about Kennedy.
“I want to divorce him, but… I don’t want to see him now.”
“Okay. I’ll get someone to do it.” He wouldn’t refuse his sister’s request.
It seemed too simple for him. She hadn’t expected him to agree with her so quickly.
Charlotte thought for a while and then said, “Can I leave this town?”
“Because of him, do you want to leave here?”
Although she felt embarrassed, she admitted it and said, “I don’t want to see him again, let alone stay in this town with him, I…”
“No problem. Our Nelson Family has companies overseas. I can send you overseas. It’s up to your choice.”
Go overseas? Charlotte never thought about it. She just wanted to get out of town, but now Zain intended to let her go abroad.
“You can study abroad. You will have a better future. My Sister… she is excellent. She should not be tied down by a man. You will meet a better man in the future.”
“As for your divorce, I will take care of it for you, if you want…”
“Yes!” Charlotte nodded, bit her lips hard and gave Zain a look. She said, “I want to get out of here today!”.
Zain was stunned for a while. He looked at her helplessly and finally agreed.
“Well, I’ll let Megan get these things ready for you. You go get your things. I want to get back to the company now.”
When he left, she went to pack her things.
But she discovered she had nothing to bring. Before she went to the Moore Family, she had nothing of her own. After she got married, a lot of her things were given away by Kennedy.
Now she realized that her past life was just a dream.
In the end she owned nothing.
Charlotte felt ridiculous. She stopped packing and sat quietly on the bed to enjoy the scenery outside.
In the afternoon, Megan came to the hotel to pick her up.
“Miss Wilson, Mr. Nelson has asked me to pick you up. I have already booked your ticket. The flight is at eight p.m. Do you have any questions?”
“No,” Charlotte shook her head and said, “That’s fine. Thank you.”
Megan looked at her. Although she didn’t know whether she should say it or not, she couldn’t help but ask, “Have you told your friends and family? Are you really leaving? Will you regret it?” Family and friends.
She thought of Yanis first. If she left, Yanis would miss her.
He wouldn’t let her leave if he knew.
She decided to tell him after she went abroad.
As for the others…
“I don’t want to tell anyone, can you help me tell the Wilson Family?”
Megan paused and then said, “Yes. As long as you need it, I can do it for you.”
“Come on.”
Charlotte picked up her purse and stood up.
Megan was startled. She asked, “Do you have anything to carry, are you leaving like this?”
“No, I don’t have anything to wear. It’s just a few sets of clothes, that’s all.” Megan drove her to the airport. It was after five when they arrived.
“It’s early. Mr. Nelson has gone to a meeting and will be at the airport in about half an hour. He’s coming to see you off.”
“Okay.”
At last Zain arrived.
Zain looked a little tired. He gestured for Megan to take the ticket and passport out of her bag.
“This is…”
Charlotte took them and saw her own photo printed on the passport. But her name was not Charlotte Wilson. Even her date of birth and residence address had been changed.
Charlotte thought she had made a mistake when she heard Zain’s voice.
“Alice Nelson.”
She looked up in astonishment.
“When you were born, he named you. Now your name is Alice Nelson.”
“Alice Nelson…” Charlotte rubbed against herself at the photo-was that her name?
