Chapter 303:.
Charlotte did not suffer any serious damage. Because when the car crashed, Manfred had turned the steering wheel quickly, then the truck passed over and directly hit the car next to it and rushed to the side. And then the car fell into the delay. Lifeguards had gone to save the man, but it was not known whether he was alive or dead.
At the moment Manfred said to lie down, he received a violent blow and fainted, he had been injured by the glass, but it was not serious.
When she was saved, she was lying next to Manfred, her face pale.
Manfred was seriously injured, but he was sober. Seeing that, she got up and went to check on him. Someone said, “Sir, don’t move. This woman has just received a minor wound.”
“How do you know? I have been badly injured, but I can move. If she wasn’t injured, why did she faint?”
“Well…” That man was speechless. He glanced at Charlotte. Indeed, she had not been seriously injured. She seemed to be fine, but why did she faint?
“Charlotte?” Manfred endured the pain and called out Charlotte’s name.
But Charlotte was lying next to him and not moving, she was as still as if she wasn’t breathing.
He was so worried that he asked them, “Excuse me, could you call an ambulance?”.
The man was stunned for a moment and then nodded, “Sir, the ambulance is on its way and will be here shortly. Don’t worry.”
Is it on its way? Manfred was relieved.
Charlotte, hang in there.
If anything happens to you, I’ll be guilty as long as I live!
The scene was very chaotic, except for the controlled area, there were many spectators elsewhere, so the police had to evacuate the crowd first, and after the evacuation, the ambulance was soon on the scene.
Manfred held on until Charlotte was carried on a stretcher and then taken to the ambulance. He asked the doctor, “Doctor, how is her condition? Is there any danger?”
The doctor checked Charlotte and then told Manfred, “She seems fine, but you are in serious condition.”
With that, he told the two nurses, “Give her emergency treatment.”
Hearing that Charlotte was not in danger, Manfred was finally relieved. And she was finally in a coma.
“Doctor, she’s in a coma.”
“Never mind, give her emergency treatment, all wounds must be disinfected.”
“Okay.”
The doctor looked at Charlotte again, he thought they must be a couple, otherwise the man wouldn’t be so worried about the woman. He was badly injured, but had been holding one. Knowing she was fine, he allowed himself to be comatose.
The party was in full swing.
“She’s not here yet?” despite what he’d told Nathan, he kept waiting for that woman to suddenly appear in the doorway, or around the corner, or in front of him, and tell him she was here.
But she did not appear.
When Nathan heard her question, he was very surprised. He hesitated and said, “I have already sent someone to look for her. As soon as Miss Moore arrives, you will be announced immediately.”
“What time is it?” asked Kennedy in a deep, cold voice.
Nathan glanced at the time, his face changed, and he answered quietly, “It’s almost nine o’clock.”
“Oh.” Kennedy scoffed, “Good.”
“Mr. Kennedy, there’s something I don’t know whether to say.”
“If you know better than to say it, don’t say it.” Kennedy chided coolly. Nathan shuddered and didn’t say it.
He preferred not to say anything.
It wasn’t the first time Kennedy had lost his temper.
When Miss Moore came, he would be fine. So Nathan would not worry about it.
According to Mr. Kennedy’s character, as long as Miss Moore said a few good words to him, he would be fine.
But Nathan didn’t expect it to be any different.
The hospital.
The wounded were sent to the hospital. Manfred was sent to the intensive care unit because of his serious injuries. Charlotte was fine, so she was sent to the regular ward.
When the doctor learned that she was pregnant, he was surprised.
The doctor took one look at Charlotte and said, “She’s still in a coma. She may have hurt herself somewhere. Please move to the critical area to check the situation.” The nurse nodded. As she was about to move Charlotte, Charlotte woke up.
“Are you awake?” The nurse exclaimed and leaned over to her, “How are you feeling?”
Charlotte’s head felt heavy and sore, but it took a while for her to see things clearly again. Then she had a clear view of what was in front of her. Doctors and nurses surrounded her, all with worried looks.
“You…”
“Don’t talk. Take a deep breath and tell me if you feel anything wrong.” The doctor stepped in front of the nurse and said quietly.
His voice was so calm and powerful that Charlotte involuntarily followed his advice to take a deep breath. After a while, she shook her head. “There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong, it’s just…”
“Just what?”
The doctor asked at once, nervously.
“Just a little dizziness…”
“Does it hurt?”
“It’s like… a little pain in the back of the head.”
With that, Charlotte remembered the scene from that moment. When Manfred told her to lie down, she didn’t know what to do and could only do as he told her, but because the impact was too great, her body leaned back. Her head hit the door, she became dizzy and then fainted.
“Oh, that must be the impact that caused your coma. I’ll give you an examination and take care of the skin trauma. And then you can be discharged.”
“Thank you, doctor. The man I was with …”
