Crazy for her - Chapter 283

Chapter 283:

Charlotte was stunned and looked at her in amazement.

“Rebecca……”

“Did you get burned?” Kennedy frowned and looked down at Charlotte’s fingers and found that her fingers turned red. Kennedy’s face changed greatly. She reached forward to grab her wrist and pulled her toward the cold water shower in the bathroom. He said in a cold voice, “Take the burn ointment.”

Rebecca paused for a moment and then hurried to grab the scald ointment.

Charlotte let Kennedy take her hand to put it under the faucet. With the cold water on her fingers, the heat greatly diminished, but as Charlotte looked at the running water, she thought it was blood.

Her face turned pale and she screamed to pull her hand away.

Kennedy was startled by her scream, but soon calmed down and asked with a frown, “Does it hurt? Under the water?”

The low male voice fell on her ear and was covered by the cold breath, Charlotte came to and turned to look at Kennedy.

His eyes were dark. Suddenly, Charlotte reached out to hug Kennedy tightly.

Although she was glad she was hugging him, seeing that he was abnormal today, she had another thought. His hand fell on her shoulder, “What happened?”

“Nothing.” Charlotte rested her chin on his shoulder and shook her head, “It just hurts.”

Hearing that, Kennedy frowned and felt annoyed, “Rebecca was careless. I’ll fire her tomorrow.”

“No, don’t fire her.” Hearing that, Charlotte spoke up for Rebecca, “It wasn’t her fault.

The soup was on the table. I didn’t take it. It had nothing to do with her.”

“Really?”

Charlotte nodded. Rebecca was smarter than she could imagine. Even though she knew it, she stood up for Charlotte when Kennedy was there, so Kennedy thought she’d looked bad because she’d been hurt by the soup.

She was smart and sympathetic. She couldn’t get herself fired for no reason.

“Okay, since you like her, let her stay with you. I’ll give her a raise.”

“Thanks.”

Soon, Rebecca came in with the ointment and applied it to Charlotte before leaving.

Charlotte was in no mood to talk to Kennedy. She was afraid to say the wrong thing, so she said she was tired and went to bed. Kennedy didn’t stop her when he saw that she was indeed tired.

Charlotte didn’t fall asleep until midnight. In her dream, the picture was bloody and Diana lay bloodied greeting her and faintly calling her name.

“Charlotte, help me… help me! Charlotte… Help me!”

“Charlotte… I don’t want to live. Let me die.”

A moment later, Diana and Kennedy embraced.

A moment later, it was Kennedy’s cold eyes, “You’re pregnant by another man, you don’t deserve my love…. When I said I liked you, I was just teasing you. Do you really think I’d like a woman like you? It’s an illusion.”

“Charlotte, why don’t you understand? You…… You’re a whore, no man will ever really like you….. Heh, heh, heh!”

The strange laughter of two people was piercing. Charlotte had a bad dream and a cold sweat broke out all over her body. She tried to wake up from the dream, constantly running away from the two people in the dream, hoping they wouldn’t come near, but they were like ghosts, following her anywhere.

“Ah!” exclaimed Charlotte and finally sat up.

What met her eyes was the sun, the blue sky and the sea.

It was already daylight.

Kennedy was not there. Charlotte was drenched in cold sweat. Charlotte reached for her phone, only to find that it was already past eight in the morning.

At this point, she didn’t know if Diana had woken up.

Thinking about this, Charlotte got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash her face. The burn on her finger was not serious and she applied a burn ointment, so it had almost healed overnight.

After changing her clothes, she picked up the phone and set out for the hospital.

“Are you going out, shall I come with you?”

Rebecca proposed to Charlotte.

At first Charlotte wanted to turn her down, but after thinking about it, she nodded, “Okay.”

“Okay.” Rebecca braced herself as she agreed and walked out with Charlotte. Still driving was Sebastian.

Sebastian drove to the hospital, took Charlotte and Rebecca to the ward.

They met Megan in the hallway and watched her arrive.

“I knew you’d be here today, but I didn’t expect you to be here so early.”

“You were early too, I was late, Diana……”

“She woke up.” Megan said with a soft smile, “Miss Wilson, let me take you to the living room now.”

Hearing that, Charlotte felt her chest throb violently once, “She, she woke up?”

“Yes, Miss Wilson. Come with me.” Megan turned to leave. Charlotte stopped for a moment and hurried after her.

Diana woke up…

That was really great!

She was fine. Thank heaven.

Charlotte suddenly burst into tears. On the way, she tried to calm her emotion. When she reached the entrance to the room, Megan suddenly stopped and turned to look at her.

“Mr. Nelson is inside. Ms. Wilson, would you please calm down before you go in?” With that, Megan handed her a tissue.

Charlotte realized she had tears streaming down her face. She turned around awkwardly and

Rebecca, with a smile, reached out and wiped her tears away. Then she said with a smile, “Miss Moore, you are fine. You were in a hurry, so you have sweat. I wiped it off.

At the word “Miss Moore…” Megan couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

Suddenly, she thought of Kennedy.

The first time they had seen each other, Kennedy had shown up at the restaurant and acted strangely. She felt weird and now maybe that was what she was thinking.

It seemed that Charlotte’s identity was not straightforward.

Megan smiled, “Yeah, even though it’s fall now, you’re going to sweat if you walk too fast. Look at me… I’m sweaty too.” Then Megan reached up and wiped her forehead. “Miss Wilson, would you like to come in?”
