Charlotte didn’t worry about her eyes, but waited at the ER door.
She had to wait here until Diana was safe and sound.
The phone in her hand was shaking. Charlotte picked it up and glanced at it. Only then did she discover that the screen was covered in blood and that the phone appeared to be Megan’s.
Charlotte reached for her clothes to wipe the screen, but got dirtier as she did so. Finally, Charlotte answered.
“Hello?”
Charlotte’s voice was still shaking as she spoke.
“Ms. Wilson, did you just send messages to Mr. Nelson?” asked Megan.
“Yes,” Charlotte nodded and took a deep breath, trying to reassure herself. “Is he on his way?”
Then there was a cold, steady voice of food.
“On his way, what happened?”
Charlotte wanted to tell him, but didn’t manage to say anything.
She could tell him that Diana had committed suicide, but she still couldn’t believe it had happened.
She closed her eyes and said wearily, “You’ll know when you get there. I won’t lie to you. I’ll wait outside the emergency room door.”
With that, she hung up the phone without waiting for his answer.
This caused Zain to frown.
Megan looked at her dubiously, “Mr. Nelson?”
Hearing that, Zain recovered and looked at her, “Speed it up.”
Megan nodded and said to the driver in front, “Be quick.”
“Okay.”
They didn’t look good. Charlotte just told her that Diana had been in an accident and asked her to go to the hospital.
Her voice was shaking. If there was nothing serious, how could she be like this? Megan could only have that thought in her mind.
Time passed. Charlotte felt like she had been waiting for years. She looked down the hallway many times, but still didn’t see Zain, she became anxious.
By this time, she felt she could ask Diana’s family to come. She had lost a lot of blood.
Charlotte was nervous.
At that moment she regretted it. If only she had gotten to the hotel earlier, but she was slow.
While she was thinking, she heard footsteps. She looked up and looked down the hallway and saw the two familiar figures.
Seeing Zain’s steady eyes, Charlotte burst into tears as if she had seen her family. In order not to cry, she bit her lips and did not dare to look him in the eyes.
It seemed to her that it was not right.
He was Diana’s brother, but she always thought of him as her brothers. If Diana knew that, she would laugh at her.
“What’s going on?” asked Zain. Charlotte’s shoulders gripped and she turned to meet his eyes.
She felt like family, which gave her a sense of family.
She bit her lips and didn’t say a word, as the tears continued to fall.
She was crying so sadly. Seeing that she was covered in blood, Zain felt anxious as if something was stabbing his heart.
Seeing that, Megan knew she was too sad to say a word, so she turned to Sebastian, “If you know something, tell us.”
In truth, Sebastian didn’t understand what had happened, but he could tell them what he had seen. Megan and Zain could hear what he said.
Zain frowned, “Is Diana in there?”
Charlotte nodded, “I’m sorry, if I had found her earlier, maybe…”
Zain interrupted her, “Wait. Clean yourself up. Megan.”
Megan reached over to hold Charlotte, “Miss Wilson, let me help you. Mr. Nelson is here, don’t worry.”
“Ok.”
With Zain here, Charlotte felt better, so she nodded and left with Megan.
Megan took her to a nearby restaurant and to a nearby mall to get a set of clothes.
Charlotte showered and put it on.
She got blood on her and took a long time to get them off. When she put the clothes on, she said, “Let’s go to the hospital.”
“Don’t worry, Miss Wilson. I just got in touch with Mr. Nelson, Diana is still in emergency treatment, and she can’t go in, but wait outside. Why don’t you rest here. When she wakes up, I’ll take her there.”
“No,” Charlotte refused, “I have to see that she is safe, she has lost a lot of blood.”
Megan looked at her and found that her face was still pale. And her voice was still shaking. So she could see that Charlotte was still worried about Diana. If Zain were there, she would still be waiting outside the emergency room in her bloody clothes.
“Miss, I understand your concerns, but you’re not in good shape, you can’t…”
“Are you worried about me, don’t worry, I won’t break down for Diana’s sake. I’ll be fine.” With that, she walked over to Megan and took her hand, “Please.” Megan hesitated, but Charlotte insisted.
It was hard to refuse.
“Megan!”
Seeing that she didn’t respond, Charlotte called out to her. Charlotte could only say, “Okay, let’s go.”
“Thank you.” Charlotte was glad and left for the hotel with Megan.
When they arrived at the hotel, she saw Zain standing in the doorway of the emergency room. He leaned against the wall with one hand in his pocket lowering his head. No one knew what was going through his mind.
