Chapter 141:
The next five months?
At first, he didn’t know what she was referring to, but a moment later he suddenly realized she was referring to the agreement they had signed.
Then Kennedy flew into a rage and said angrily, “Do you still remember that agreement?”
Charlotte turned her back to him. Hearing that, her shoulders obviously shook a little and she nodded after a moment.
How could she forget that agreement?
That agreement had drawn an impassable line between them, and as long as it was there, she would restrain her heart to keep falling in love with him.
“So you’re angry with me about the agreement?” Kennedy seemed to realize something and her tone became light.
“…No.” Charlotte’s words broke Kennedy’s light in her heart.
His bright eyes dimmed at that moment, like thousands of stars suddenly covered by clouds, and the surroundings became dark.
Charlotte could feel the man’s breath cooling behind her, and the temperature around her dropped as well. She already had the quilt ready and went straight to bed.
There was silence in the room.
Charlotte had insomnia tonight, maybe the new quilt had a smell, which made her fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning.
In the dream, it seemed like a wolf was staring at her fiercely, feeling cold on her back. She was shivering, how could there be a wolf looking at her?
Unconsciously she wanted to take a step back, only to discover that it was an endless abyss on her back. And then she fell into it.
Charlotte woke with a start, her whole body bathed in cold sweat.
When she opened her eyes, she felt the air was strange, rolled over and met Kennedy’s deep, cold eyes, which were as red as blood. It was the same in her dream.
Charlotte suddenly grabbed at the bedspread and sat up. She was sleepy, but now as she saw Kennedy’s gaze, her drowsiness disappeared.
He looked like a big bad wolf and was ready to pounce on her to tear her apart.
“What, what are you doing?”
Why wasn’t he sleeping and coming to check on her?
Kennedy stared at her with reddened eyes, “Charlotte, how dare you cheat on me?”
“What are you talking about?” Charlotte was so scared of him that her heart was pounding.
A stack of pictures were thrown in front of her. At first she didn’t know what they were.
She glanced at them before she picked them up.
After seeing the photo clearly, Charlotte’s eyes widened, staring at it in disbelief.
Was it of her and Manfred eating? Why had they been photographed with a camera?
No wonder she had felt someone following her yesterday afternoon; it wasn’t her imagination!
“Who gave you these pictures?” Charlotte looked up and asked anxiously.
Kennedy flashed a mischievous grin, “Are you anxious?”
Charlotte pulled back the quilt and stood up. “No, don’t believe these pictures. I…”
“The photo’s a fake?” Kennedy teased, “huh?”
“It’s not fake, but it’s definitely not what you think. I just had dinner with Manfred. I’m not fooling you.”
She approached Kennedy trying to explain herself, but he raised his big hand, dragged it to his chest and pinched her chin with one hand.
“It was dinner, what will you do next time?” He was angry and there seemed to be fire in his body to burn Charlotte to ashes.
“Kennedy, let go of me. Don’t say these words to insult me. There is nothing between Manfred and me, we are innocent. We’ve only had lunch together.”
“Really?” Kennedy scoffed and pinched his chin harder, “How can a woman like you be innocent? If I don’t teach you a lesson, you really won’t know where you stand.”
“You’re hurting me, let go…”
Before she could finish her words, Kennedy stopped her.
He kissed her again.
Charlotte twisted her body trying to free herself from him.
Charlotte’s pajamas immediately ripped.
She wanted to exclaim, but couldn’t open her mouth.
She tried to push him away, but his grip on her waist was with great force and he held her tightly.
The fact that Kennedy was like this was like a demon, making her afraid.
“Say it, what did you do with him?”
Charlotte bit her lower lips, but said nothing, staring hard at Kennedy.
He sneered, “Say it.”
Charlotte’s eyes were red. “Nothing! Don’t ask me if you don’t believe me! ‘
“Fine.” Kennedy’s voice became husky, “Don’t blame me if you don’t say it!”
Charlotte, “……”
As soon as she realized what she meant, she felt a sharp pain.
Kennedy got her point across and sneered, “Will you say it or not?” Her words got Charlotte to blush.
“Kennedy, you…let go of me.”
“Let you go, are you sure?”
