Chapter 133:
Diana opened her eyes and couldn’t believe what she had seen.
The materials showed that the man was Kennedy.
So the man she and Charlotte had been looking for was Kennedy.
The baby’s father was with her, but she didn’t know it, neither did Kennedy. How could this happen?
The sound of the water suddenly stopped. Diana came to her senses. Her brother had finished the bath. If she stayed there, they would find her.
Thinking about that, Diana quickly put the materials in the bag, but she was too worried, as she was about to leave, she accidentally touched the phone on the table with her sleeve.
The sound of the phone falling to the floor was clear. Diana panicked and had to pick up the phone. As she was about to return the phone to the table, the bathroom door opened.
Diana stopped her movement and turned to face the bathroom.
After the bath, Zain’s strong body was dripping with water, his black hair was wet and stuck to his forehead. He fixed his eyes on Diana.
He didn’t speak, he pressed his lips together and looked at Diana.
Diana’s heartbeat quickened. She dodged Zain’s eyes out of guilt.
Diana had to force a smile and stretched out her hand to wave, “Hello, brother…”. Diana could even hear his voice shaking.
Diana felt panicked and put her hand behind her back, but then she felt bad and pulled out her phone.
“Sorry, bro, I accidentally dropped your phone. I didn’t know if it was broken.” Diana suppressed her mood and said lightly.
Zain grabbed a dry towel to wipe his wet hair, and walked towards her, his auro approaching. He said coolly, “I said that without my permission you cannot enter my room.” Hearing that, Diana became nervous.
“Brother, I didn’t mean to. I heard you were taking a bath, so I came in to wait for you.” Saying this, Diana’s eyes filled with tears from nerves, looking at Zain with sorrow, “I won’t do it again, I’m leaving now.” Diana hung up the phone and was about to leave.
Zain stopped her, “Wait.”
Diana stopped her pace and stood in her place, anxious.
Zain looked at her back with sharp eyes and asked, “What do you want? Say it.” Diana blinked, took a deep breath and said, “Nothing, you just got home, I miss you, so I wanted to see if I had put you to sleep, I…” She made a mess of her words. She hated herself this way. She was pretending well, but every time she met Zain’s deep eyes, which seemed to have seen through her mind, and stood beside her, she felt her lie would be exposed.
And she was guilty, so now she was not sure.
Zain said nothing and rested his eyes on the bag. When he picked it up, he discovered that someone had opened it. Then he narrowed his eyes.
“Did you check the materials?”
When asked that, Diana turned pale in the face and denied, “No, no, brother, I just came in and found that your phone was glowing and I accidentally dropped it.”
Zain, “…”
He raised his eyes and snorted.
“Really?” he asked.
Diana was nervous, “Bro, is the stuff important? I wouldn’t touch your stuff. I’m on my best behavior. If there’s nothing else, I have to go.”
Zain looked at her, “Don’t you want to know anything about that material?”
“I’ll ask you tomorrow. You’re tired already, go to bed.” With that, Diana left like a thief.
Zain looked at her back coolly, opened the bag, glanced at it and threw it on the desk.
After a while, he seemed to come up with something… he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket. There was a photo. Although the woman in it was smiling, her eyes were cold and indifferent, which made her unusual.
Who was she, and why did the person in her memory look familiar?
In the evening, Charlotte went home, washed Yanis’ coat and dried it. The next day she went to the finance department and returned it to Yanis.
Seeing her go and return the clothes, Yanis was arrogant.
“I’m lending you the clothes not to help you, but I don’t want to see you seduce Mr. Kennedy!”
Charlotte sensed that Yanis had a cold face but a warm heart. She nodded, “Okay, I know.”
Yanis narrowed his eyes as he still smiled, “What’s wrong with you? I’ve said harsh words to you and you didn’t get angry.”
Charlotte smiled and said, “Because I know you’re helping me, thank you, otherwise I really wouldn’t have known what to do.”
Yanis, “…Who wants your thanks? Go now.”
Charlotte had to leave first. As she was about to enter the elevator, she ran into Kennedy who was about to go up. They looked at each other. Before Charlotte could do anything, Kennedy averted her eyes.
Charlotte entered the elevator before it closed. As soon as she stepped in, she felt cold in her arms and neck.
She was wearing a light green suit without sleeves, which suited her skin particularly well, but her cool, white arms were exposed, which was not pleasing to Kennedy’s eye.
This damn woman, she was wearing more and more revealing clothes!
“Assistant Wilson.”
Nathan took the initiative to greet Charlotte.
Charlotte nodded at him and then stepped aside without a word.
Nathan noticed that from the moment Charlotte appeared, Kennedy’s cold breath kept coming out, filling the elevator, but it kept coming out. When he saw Charlotte, he paid no attention to her and turned directly away.
What was going on here, didn’t they seem so affectionate when they were at the restaurant yesterday? What happened after one night .
