Chapter 924:
“You should come here as soon as possible. I need to talk to you about your son,” the teacher replied.
“Okay, I’m on my way.”
I didn’t have time to ask more questions. I grabbed my bag and rushed out of the house.
Every day, the happiest moment for me was coming home to spend time with Bella and the children. It was such a comforting feeling.
The villa was quiet when I walked in.
As I stepped into the living room, I saw Lucas and Lucky playing. Gary was watching over them, and Miranda was in the kitchen preparing dinner.
“Where’s your mommy?” I asked, not seeing Bella around. I gently touched Lucas’s head.
Lucas, engrossed in his toys, looked up and answered, “Mommy’s upstairs.”
I nodded and turned to head upstairs.
Just then, a small hand grabbed mine. I looked down, and Lucas said with a hint of frustration, “Dad, I got into trouble at kindergarten today. Can you please talk to Mommy and make sure she’s not mad at me?”
I was a bit surprised. Lucas was usually well-behaved. What could he have possibly done?
“What happened at kindergarten?” I asked.
But Lucas lowered his head, sighing.
“Go ask Mommy,” he muttered.
Seeing the guilty and sad look on his face, I couldn’t bring myself to scold him. Instead, I gently ruffled his hair and said, “Alright, I’ll talk to Mommy. You can keep playing with your sister.”
“Okay,” Lucas nodded obediently.
Feeling confused, I made my way upstairs. I pushed open the door to the master bedroom, but it was dark inside. There was no light on, just the vague outline of a figure lying on the bed.
I flicked the light switch, and the room immediately brightened. Bella stretched out her hand to shield her eyes from the sudden light. I sat down beside her and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Bella didn’t respond.
I wrapped my arms around her and asked again, “Lucas told me he got into trouble today. He asked me to come upstairs and talk to you. What happened?”
Bella’s POV:
In the evening, when Herbert came home, he came straight to our room and asked me about Lucas’s situation.
At this point, I suddenly sat up, looked at Herbert, and said in an annoyed tone, “Today, Lucas embarrassed me a lot.”
“What happened?” Herbert asked, concerned.
I pointed to the bedside table and said, “Take a look for yourself!”
There was an open condom lying on the bedside table, clearly inflated, and obviously out of place. Herbert frowned.
