Chapter 876:
“When I grow up, I want to find a woman who doesn’t need any makeup!” Lucas suddenly said.
Hearing this, Herbert frowned.
After that, Lucas said, “I hate women who wear makeup the most. An ugly person can turn into a fairy. I don’t even recognize them after they remove their makeup. It’s better to be natural!”
He then lowered his head and continued drawing.
Herbert shook his head in amusement.
At that moment, he heard the sound of high heels clicking on the ground.
Herbert turned around and saw a woman descending the stairs, making everyone stop and look.
She was wearing a long black dress with pearls, featuring a collar, sleeves, and a narrow waist design. It was a modest design that didn’t expose too much but still made Herbert very satisfied.
Her long hair was styled in a low bun, and her makeup was light. She carried a silver handbag in her hand, and her black high heels perfectly highlighted her curves.
Bella’s POV:
“How do I look?”
I stepped in my high heels and walked up to Herbert.
Because I was wearing very high heels today, I was slightly taller than usual—just enough to reach the tip of his nose.
Herbert’s eyes darkened as he stared at me.
“Not bad, but something seems to be missing.”
Hearing this, I looked down at myself, frowning.
“What’s missing?”
Herbert grinned and reached into his pocket, pulling out a blue velvet box.
“What’s this?” I asked in confusion, noticing the box in his hand.
Instead of answering, Herbert opened it and raised it in front of me.
Inside the small box were a pair of sapphire earrings, sparkling under the light.
The sapphires were large and surrounded by diamonds, matching the ring I was already wearing. It was clear he had chosen them with great care.
“For me?” I smiled as I took the small box from him.
“I just want to lend them to you for a while,” he replied with a playful grin.
I knew he was joking, so I played along and said, “Then I’ll borrow them for now. I’ll return them to you when I come back!”
Herbert smiled, reached out to take one of the earrings from the velvet box, and stepped forward to gently place it on my left ear.
I stood there with a smile on my face, asking him to put the other earring in my right ear.
