When I returned to the villa, I saw Miranda helping Bella upstairs.
“Don’t help me. I can walk on my own!” Bella, with her eyes closed, kept pushing Miranda away.
But Bella couldn’t walk at all in her current state. If Miranda really let go of her, she’d definitely fall down the stairs.

“Miss Stepanek, you are drunk.”
Miranda’s voice was filled with helplessness.
“Who said I’m drunk? I’m not…”
Bella was still pushing Miranda away.
Miranda looked at me with a helpless expression. I immediately walked over and extended my hand to take Bella from Miranda’s arms.
“Mr. Wharton?”
Miranda asked, glancing in the direction of the dining table.
I knew exactly what she was implying.
“Go and clear the table,” I ordered.
Miranda frowned.
“Mr. Wharton, but you haven’t had dinner yet.”
“I’m not hungry. Go and take care of Lucas,” I said.
“Yes.”
Miranda reluctantly left.
I walked up to Bella, still in my arms.
She frowned and tried to push my hand away.
Though she was drunk, she was surprisingly strong. I almost lost my balance.
The smell of alcohol on her body only intensified my frustration.
I frowned and bent down to pick her up again.
“En… let go… let go of me, where’s the wine? Mr. Hall, let’s toast again!”
Bella laughed drunkenly.
Mr. Hall?
Hearing my woman call another man’s name while drunk set my anger ablaze.
“I really want to teach her a lesson,” I thought, but she was too far gone to understand anything I said.
I controlled my emotions and decided to carry her to the bedroom.
“Mr. Hall, this time… thanks to your help, it’s really hard to get into the sanatorium. If it weren’t for you… how could my sister live there… Come on, let me toast you… Haha…”
Bella’s words, slurred by the alcohol, only drove me further into frustration.
I was furious as I stepped into the second bedroom. I walked to the soft bed and unceremoniously threw her onto it.

Bella screamed when she landed on the bed.
