Chapter 732:
When William saw this, he immediately stepped forward and grabbed Emma’s hand.
“Emma, let go right now. Do you hear me?” he warned.
“You’re still protecting this vixen? I’ll scratch her face and see how she comes out to seduce another man!” Emma shouted, her anger growing as she reached out with sharp fingernails to slash the woman’s face.
The woman’s shrill cries echoed through the restaurant, making it impossible not to feel sympathy for her. I wanted to intervene and stop Emma, but Herbert held me back.
“That’s their business. They can handle it themselves,” he said calmly.
I nodded and sat back down, though I couldn’t help but feel for the woman. Emma was visibly agitated, and it seemed like she was genuinely heartbroken. It was unlike her usual manipulative behavior, playing with men’s emotions. It was clear she had real feelings for William.
In that moment, William finally snapped. He stepped forward, pushed Emma to the ground, and rushed to the woman’s side.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice full of concern.
The woman’s face was bruised and scarred, tears falling freely from her eyes. Her voice trembled as she whispered, “William, who is she? Why did she hit me?”
“She’s my ex-girlfriend,” William replied coldly.
“Don’t worry. I’ll get a lawyer and sue her for what she did. She’ll suffer the consequences she deserves.”
William cast a sharp glance at Emma, who was still on the floor, visibly distressed. She looked up at him, her voice breaking, “William, you’re really cruel. I’ve been with you for so long, and now you want to sue me? I’ve always been so good to you.”
“I never asked you to be nice to me,” William retorted, his tone firm.
“It was you who kept pestering me, using your mother to manipulate my father. He threatened to cut me off if I didn’t marry you. Let me tell you the truth, Emma—I’d rather die than marry you. Being with you is worse than being in jail. I can’t stand it anymore. That’s why I sued my father. I’d rather cut off all ties with him and walk away from 75% of his fortune than face you every day.”
William said bitterly, pouring out all the grievances of the past two years. Emma burst into tears and then cursed loudly, “William, you bastard!”
William, on the other hand, said coldly, “Wait for my lawyer to come after you.”
After that, he thoughtfully held the woman in his arms and turned to leave.
“William, I curse you and that woman to die!” Emma yelled, taking off her high heels and throwing them at their backs.
However, they had already gone far, and the high heels fell several meters away.
At this point, the waiter came over, bowed his head, and said to the girl who was still crying on the floor, “Miss, you’ve already disturbed our guests’ meal. Please leave immediately, or you will bear the loss of the guest.”
Hearing this, Emma got up from the ground in an imposing manner, still wearing only one high heel. She shouted angrily at the waiter, “What are you doing? Are you afraid that I can’t afford it? Isn’t this a place for people to eat? Let me tell you, I have money, a lot of money. Don’t look down on me!”
“Miss, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean what you said. I was just afraid that you would disturb the other guests’ meals,” the waiter replied.
