Bride of Mr. Billion - Chapter 721

Chapter 722:

I thought to myself.

Jeremy cursed loudly, “I was fired by the company, but I have to get my things back, right? Damn Stephen Firm! I’ve worked for you for so many years, and you fired me without a second thought. You even wanted to send me to prison! Now that I’m out, when will you give me the compensation I deserve?”

He was becoming increasingly unhinged, and the people in the office were clearly avoiding him, afraid he might cause trouble. After all, everyone knew what kind of person he was—a despicable villain.

“How did he get released?” I whispered.

Linia, who was standing next to me, replied quietly, “I heard he was released two days ago. Jessica is the main criminal, and he was just an accomplice. He didn’t directly benefit from the company’s rival. He’s lost his job, and no one’s likely to hire him now. He’s got a house loan to pay off, and his wife wants a divorce. I think he really can’t take it anymore, so he came here to make trouble.”

When I heard this, I didn’t feel an ounce of sympathy for Jeremy. Even though he’d lost his job, his marriage, and his career, he had brought it all upon himself. If only he’d had a bit of integrity in his actions, he wouldn’t have ended up like this.

Now that I was the manager of Group Six, I couldn’t allow him to continue disrupting the employees’ work. But given our past, if I confronted him directly, I’d surely be attacked.

So, I turned to Linia and said, “Call the security guards, and get Linda on the phone.”

“Okay,” Linia nodded before quickly retreating into my office to make the call.

In the blink of an eye, Jeremy suddenly fixed his eyes on me.

He stormed up to me and shouted, “Isn’t this Bella? Should I start calling you ‘manager’ now? You chased me and Jessica out and took the manager’s position!”

I looked at him with disdain. He hadn’t changed at all, even after everything that had happened. People like him were just so vile.

“You know exactly how you and Jessica left. If you hadn’t made that mistake and framed others, how could you have ended up like this?”

I was furious with both him and Selina. If it hadn’t been for Herbert intervening at the crucial moment, I could have been the one to lose my reputation and end up in prison after being fired.

My words infuriated him. He raised his hand, as if to strike me.

“Bitch, I’ve been unlucky ever since you came to Stephen Firm. Let me teach you a lesson today!”

I saw his hand coming toward me and took a few quick steps back. When he missed, Jeremy was so enraged that he lunged at me, his hands now outstretched as if to strangle me. I frowned, my mind racing. Jeremy had truly lost control, and I knew he was capable of anything. Luckily, the security guards arrived just in time. They grabbed his arms and restrained him. Despite his efforts to struggle, he was no match for the two strong security guards.

He could only be taken away by force. As the security guards led him out, he continued cursing, “Bitch, I won’t let you go!”

I looked at the crazed Jeremy in front of me and couldn’t help but feel contempt in my heart.
