Chapter 672:
As soon as I walked in, I was confronted with a naked man.
Herbert stood there, his upper body bare and showing off his strong muscles. He wasn’t wearing pants, only leopard-print underwear.
Bella’s POV:
The leopard-print underwear was something I had bought for him that year as a prank. He had refused to wear it at the time, but now, after all this time apart, I didn’t expect to see him wearing it.
“Have you seen enough?”
His voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I quickly turned around and complained, “Why didn’t you lock the door when you changed clothes?”
“I’m changing in my bedroom!”
As he spoke, I felt a presence behind me. I turned around and bumped into his chest. I stepped back in a hurry and almost lost my balance, but he caught me in his arms.
Then, he leaned in close and whispered in my ear, “The look in your eyes just now was really like that of a female leopard.”
The atmosphere between us grew heavy with tension.
I couldn’t guarantee what would happen if I let this kind of tension linger.
I pushed him away, intending to leave, but he grabbed my wrist.
“What do you want to do?” he asked.
I felt a nervous flutter in my chest.
“What do you want me to do?” he countered, his gaze full of intention.
Logically, I should push him away now and warn him not to force me.
But my body didn’t seem to resist him. I didn’t hate it. In fact, I was almost looking forward to it. Could it be because I hadn’t been with a man for so long? My face flushed with heat.
But my reason told me that I couldn’t act on this now.
Fortunately, he didn’t force the issue.
He let go of my wrist, turned around, and grabbed a shirt from the wardrobe. As he buttoned it up, he said, “I need your help with something.”
“What is it?”
He held out a tie in front of me.
I looked up and saw a blue-striped tie in his hand. I frowned, realizing what he wanted.
“Do you want me to tie it for you?”
“You don’t know how to do it yourself?” he asked, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth.
I was very reluctant.
“I want you to help me,” said Herbert.
I rolled my eyes at him and didn’t take the tie from his hand.
