“What are you investigating?”
Joey walked over and saw that I was looking at someone’s photos on the Internet.
“I’m looking for some photos of the owner of K.G. Software Company,” I replied as I kept scrolling, “Otherwise, with so many people at the charity party, we won’t recognize him!”
“Yes!” Joey gave me a thumbs-up. Then I copied two photos of the owner of K.G. Software Company and sent them to my phone. Joey frowned and said, “Even if you find this boss and have a chance to talk to him, he’s probably still fascinated by his new wife. Maybe he won’t care, even if he knows his new wife is secretly making money. What’s more, he may not believe it!”

“I bought it for more than a thousand dollars. I haven’t worn it once. I’ll lend it to you tonight!”

Joey smiled and took out another one from the wardrobe. She put it on herself and said, “Do you want to wear this one instead?”
I looked over and saw Joey holding a long red dress this time. Without hesitation, I reached out and grabbed it from her hand.
“I want this one!”
“Don’t regret it!” Joey teased.
Her smile was like that of a cunning fox, and I couldn’t help but feel a little wary. Looking down at the evening dress in my hand, my eyes landed on the back of the red dress. I froze. The dress was backless, and if I wasn’t careful, my back and even my lower back might be exposed… It was unexpectedly sexy.
Bella’s POV:
The red dress was too sexy, so I finally chose the first dress. At 7 p.m., Joey and I arrived at the Hilton Hotel with our invitation cards. As soon as we stepped into the venue, we attracted a lot of attention from the men. Joey whispered in my ear, “Look, there are so many people watching us.”
She continued, “Although we may not be perfect beauties, our figures are still pretty attractive. With our beautiful makeup and sexy dresses today, we are definitely the center of attention.”
