Chapter 344:
As I reached the corner, two people suddenly rushed out and struck my head with sticks.
I immediately clasped my hands over my head, unable to see who they were, and felt an overwhelming fear. Who had hit me?
In the next moment, I heard curses being shouted.
“Oh, you damn bitch, I’m going to blow your head off!”
The voice belonged to Connie. It was them. I wanted to fight back or run away immediately, but I was dizzy and had no strength to resist. My hair was yanked by Emma, and Connie slapped my face, the pain searing through me.
“Help! Someone is hitting me! Help…”
I screamed, but no one came to my aid.
“Bitch, bitch,” Connie continued, slapping me again. My lips felt like they were about to split.
At that moment, everyone else was asleep. The soundproofing in the hotel was excellent, and no one would hear me. I realized I could only rely on myself now. I had to fight back.
I forced myself to stay calm, scanning the situation. I saw Emma was wearing a short skirt, and an idea struck me. I swiftly grabbed for Emma’s skirt.
“Ah!”
Emma let out a low scream, and her grip on my hair loosened. The skirt slipped to the floor. She quickly bent down to pick it up, and I seized the chance to grab her hair with both hands.
Connie, furious, grabbed a slipper and tried to hit me. She shouted, “Little bitch, how dare you fight back? I’m going to smash your head!”
I was struggling to hold on. One hand was pulling at Emma’s curly hair, and the other was blocking Connie’s attacks with her slipper.
I was no match for her. My hand soon started swelling from the blows, but I refused to let go of Emma’s hair. If I did, they would both come at me together, and the beating would only get worse.
Suddenly, I gathered every ounce of strength and kicked Connie hard in the stomach.
“Ah…”
Connie staggered back, falling to the floor, clutching her stomach and groaning. Emma immediately got to her feet and lunged at me again.
At that moment, a flashlight appeared, and a voice called out, “Hey, what are you doing?”
It was the hotel security guard. Just as I was about to explain, Connie quickly spoke up.
“This woman cheated with my husband! She’s the one who ruined my family. I’m teaching her a lesson!”
Bella’s POV:
I immediately retorted, “She’s talking nonsense. She’s the third party who destroyed my family!”
Connie wanted to argue further, but the security guard intervened, shouting, “That’s your private matter. This is a hotel, not a place for fighting. If you want to fight, take it outside!”
“Humph!”
