A Demonial Destiny: The Alpha Triplets - Chapter 352

Chapter 352:

Valerie, Nathalia’s mother, thought she could deceive everyone, unaware that lies don’t last forever. One day, the truth would come to light, and it would cause a lot of damage.

“Rest in peace, Nathalia,” I muttered, closing my eyes as I stayed rooted to the spot, giving her a moment of silence.

“There you are.” A familiar voice startled me, making me jump.

“It’s you, Eve,” I said, recognizing her figure.

“I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Your parents want to see you, and I think it’s for an important discussion,” she explained.

“Okay then, let’s go,” I replied, my curiosity piqued.

An important discussion. That would explain the serious tone they’d been using since I arrived. What could it be?

I hoped they weren’t planning to find a suitor for me, as I had already told them that I was mated to Damon, Dax, and Devin. Though they initially found it hard to believe, after I convinced them and shared my experiences, they finally accepted it.

“Since you arrived, I’ve noticed something’s been eating at them,” Eve started.

“I noticed it too. Especially after my three-day welcome party. I thought I was overthinking things, but it’s been two weeks since I arrived, and they still seem bothered by something I can’t figure out.” I sighed in frustration.

“I hope no one’s dying,” I added, my worry growing.

“I hope not either,” Eve chimed in.

“Has the pack been under attack since I left?” I asked, trying to get a sense of the situation.

“None that I know of. King Damon has been protecting our pack and providing for us.”

A part of me felt relieved at Damon’s kindness. Maybe he wasn’t a bad person after all.

My smile faded as my eyes landed on Eve.

“Why are you still in your maid uniform? I thought I gave you the freedom to live a normal life, with a family,” I complained, folding my arms across my chest in displeasure.

Eve deserved to have her own life. She had been so good to me since the day I was born. She was quick to save me and take the blame whenever Nathalia wanted to punish me. She was more than a friend to me.

“Today is my last day, honey, I promise,” she said, throwing an apologetic look at me before rubbing my back.

“I’ll be leaving tomorrow,” I announced, waiting for her reaction.

“Already?” she gasped in shock, throwing her hands in the air, a sad look creeping onto her face. “You’ve barely been here for two weeks. I thought you would stay for three months before leaving.”

“I’ll definitely come back. I just came to make an appearance, especially to my parents. When I’m done setting things in place, I’ll be back. Meanwhile, I am no longer the Alpha King’s property. I’m his mate. I can come here whenever I wish,” I reassured her, which seemed to work perfectly.

“I have to leave now. See you tomorrow,” Eve said as we reached the door to my parents’ room, before giving me a hug.

“Take care of yourself and enjoy your freedom,” I replied, breaking the hug and watching her leave.

I knocked softly on the door, and it opened almost immediately, making me wonder if they knew I was near.

A demonial destiny the alpha triples – Sneak Peek Aurora I let out a weary sigh as my eyes met the enormous clock on the wall. It was past 1 a.m. Yesterday’s chores had been endless. Despite starting early, long before anyone else was awake, I had worked nonstop until the next day, with no breaks. Nathalia, the Alpha’s daughter, had been pleased to see me buried in work. She rejected anyone’s attempt to assist me and punished them severely—just like she always did. Her cruelty kept people away from me, their fear of her harsh punishments outweighing any sympathy they might have had.
