Chapter 343:
Helpless and hopeless, I slumped to the floor like a lifeless log, tears blurring my vision.
I let it all out.
I had been playing the tough guy for far too long.
Sobbing quietly with my hands clasped, I sat against the island, crying my eyes out.
After several minutes, I felt a sense of quiet satisfaction from releasing the tears, and I began to pick up the broken pieces of cups and plates that littered the floor. I discarded them into the waste bin and carefully cleaned up the spilled coffee.
A sad smile crept onto my face as my eyes scanned the now spotless area.
When everything was back in place, I opened my mindlink to receive any incoming messages, particularly any updates on Rosa’s whereabouts.
Rosa. The evil mistress.
I still couldn’t believe the atrocity she had committed while pretending to offer emotional support. I couldn’t believe how much of a fool I had been. My rash and hasty decisions had blinded me to who she truly was — a pathetic liar and a deceiver.
After killing my pregnant mate, she had wanted to repeat the cycle with my second-chance mate. How dare she?
Thank the goddess her evil plans were exposed before it was too late.
I couldn’t wait to make her life a living hell.
“Why is it taking you so long to find that bitch?! Bring her to me already,” I groaned impatiently as my hand balled into a fist.
I felt like ripping her apart, limb from limb. For hurting those I loved, I would make her pray for death, but she wouldn’t get it that easily. She would watch in horror as her body rotted before her eyes, and her beast would feast on her while she was still alive.

Excitement surged through my veins as my killer instinct took over.
“My King…” The voice dropped, and so did my excitement.
I knew what that meant. Rosa was still hidden.
“There is still… no sign, but we will find her. I’ve deployed more men to search for her. I’ve also informed the other packs to alert us once she is caught. Please, my king, exercise a little… patience,” he said, his voice breathless with fear.
“You incompetent fool!” I growled in anger, gritting my teeth as my blood boiled. “I give you 72 hours, or you will lose your rank as my Gamma,” I threatened, blocking out the flood of annoying reports coming in.
I barely had time to control my fury when the door opened to reveal Aurora, holding a box in her hands.
Without a word, she placed the box on the island, then grabbed my hands, examining them closely.
The moment our hands connected, I felt the familiar sparks flare up, spreading through my body rapidly.
Reluctantly, she guided me toward the sink, stretching my hand out over it as she turned the tap.
The cool water helped calm the sting, and I sighed in relief.
“Thank you, but you don’t have to worry about me. I’m healing already.”
