Chapter 339:
“Who is coming?” Rosa demanded, panic beginning to creep in.
“The King and his brothers. They know everything. The truth about Luna’s death, Aurora’s pregnancy, and the setup.” Rosa’s heart stopped as a chill ran down her spine.
That bastard, Alex.
She should have known Alex was recording her.
Her life was over.
“Leave the castle and never return. The King is coming in raw rage.”
Fuck!
Her plans were ruined.
She gave Ray one last look and spat on him before leaving him to face the consequences.
Damon couldn’t find her here, or she’d be dead meat. She would deal with Ray later, but for now, she had to flee for her life.
“Take care of this bastard and don’t let him out of your sight!” she shouted, disappearing into her cloak as she rushed out of the room and into a secret passage known only to her and her handmaid.
She needed to lay low for a while.
It was far from over.
She would strike back!
Damon
With expectations and remorse weighing heavily on my heart, I gently knocked on the door before me.
As expected, there was no response.

I let out a sigh, my face falling in sadness. It was becoming frustrating, but I wouldn’t give up—not after everything I had caused due to my impatience and rash decisions.
Sometimes, I wished I could be calm and calculated, like Devin. But patience was never my strong suit.
I killed my sons and lost my mate’s affection.
She treats me like a piece of furniture, ignoring me as if I never existed.
It hurts so badly, knowing she is happy without me.
Her silence was enough to drive me to the brink of madness.
It was then that I realized how poorly I had treated her all this time.
I knew I was a bad mate, and I deserved this.
She shouldn’t be with me. She should be with my brothers, who made her happy and full of life.
For weeks, the three of them were inseparable. They hardly went anywhere without each other. I admired them, even though it broke me inside.
Despite my tough exterior, I wanted Aurora for myself.
I missed what we had.
Deep down, I was broken. I was hurt. My wolf wasn’t helping matters—it kept blaming me for turning Aurora into the monster she was becoming.
I couldn’t believe it. A girl who had once been madly in love with me had turned cold, treating me as if I were invisible.
