Chapter 273:
I couldn’t believe my eyes. My brothers were perfectly fine!
“Devin! Dax! You’re awake!” I exclaimed, rushing to them and wrapping them in a bear hug.
I snuggled closer to them, tightening the embrace as tears of joy trickled down my face.
I couldn’t hold back the tears. I let them flow.
Years ago, I prayed for a day like this—the day I would reunite with my brothers.
It had finally arrived.
I was the happiest man on earth.
I couldn’t thank the Moon goddess enough.
It felt so surreal. I had almost given up hope, thinking they were gone for good, but the Moon goddess had given us a second chance. Nothing would tear us apart again.
“How are you feeling?” I asked, a huge smile plastered on my face. I was grinning from ear to ear.
A surge of restlessness shot through me, making it impossible to stay calm.
I almost didn’t blink, afraid they would vanish before my eyes.
“Good,” they chorused in unison, making my heart skip.
I missed the masculinity of their voices.
“Has the doctor attended to you?” I asked impatiently, before sitting in an empty chair.
My eyes scanned the room for a moment.
Relief washed over me as I noticed that the machines which had been supporting them had been reduced.

Devin and Dax’s hands no longer had IV drips attached. They were healed.
“Yes. He waited for you, but when he didn’t see you on time, he left,” Devin replied, adjusting himself in the bed.
“Are you okay? Should I help you adjust the pillow?” I offered, jumping to my feet and moving to adjust the pillow behind Devin’s back.
I couldn’t restrain myself.
“No, it’s fine. Just a slight back pain—”
“Do you need a massage?” I asked eagerly, interrupting him, then mentally scolding myself for not having foreseen his discomfort.
“No, it’s fine. The doctor already prescribed something to take care of it.” He stopped me.
My eagerness faltered, and worry began to creep in.
Was he not happy to see me?
Hadn’t his memory been restored?
Devin’s recoiling attitude filled me with sadness.
The air around us grew harsh and unwelcoming.
Did he hate me?
An uncomfortable silence settled in the room as everyone seemed lost in their own thoughts.
My heart ached with worry as Devin’s cold behavior continued. Didn’t he miss me?
