A Demonial Destiny: The Alpha Triplets - Chapter 271

Chapter 271:

I hated myself.

“I just want to strangle myself and stop bothering everyone. How could I not notice? His sweetness and friendliness were suspicious, but I ignored it because I was too open with everyone,” I continued, my hand pulling at my hair so hard that my scalp became sore, but it wasn’t enough.

I craved more pain.

I wished I were alone so I could burn myself with silver.

“Don’t be hard on yourself, Aurora. You’ll hurt your baby if you keep punishing yourself,” Alex cautioned.

A painful, hysterical laugh burst from my throat before tears slipped down my face.

“Baby? There is no baby. My mistake cost his life.” My hands clasped around my flat stomach, caressing it like I always did when I was pregnant.

“I’m sorry about that. Everything will be okay. But we need to find a solution to the problem, not just wail helplessly,” she suggested, making me stop crying for a moment.

“What do you mean?” I asked, wiping my tears with the back of my hand as I focused on her.

“Ray didn’t do this alone. He’s working with someone. We need to find out who instructed him to get close to you, and then we’ll take them down together,” she explained seriously.

“We?” I asked in disbelief.

“Are you willing to work with me?”

“Yes,” she nodded in agreement. “I’ll help you expose the culprit.”

I threw my arms around her, hugging her tightly before whispering into her ear, “Thank you so much. I initially thought of this, but I backed out because I was alone.”

“Not anymore. We’re in this together,” her reassuring words calmed me and lifted my spirits.

“I can’t thank you enough, Alex,” I began, but she placed a finger on my lips.

“Shh, it’s nothing.”

“But what about your life? This mission is risky; it could cost you your life,” I tried to talk her out of it. I didn’t want to lose another person who cared about me because of my foolish mistake.

“I am a servant. I have no life,” she said with determination, her face hardening. It was as if I was seeing a different side of Alex.

“Ray and his accomplice will pay with the last drop of their blood!”

Damon

“She leaves tomorrow, then,” Jasper announced with a smirk on his face.

I could see him peeking at me from the corner of his eye, but I was quick to mask my expression.

“Definitely!” I replied in a firm voice, clearing my throat.

Definitely not.

Jasper’s words threw my mind into a whirl of trouble and confusion.

Why would he ask me to take such a risk when he knew how much she meant to me? How could I send Aurora away?

A demonial destiny the alpha triples – Sneak Peek Aurora I let out a weary sigh as my eyes met the enormous clock on the wall. It was past 1 a.m. Yesterday’s chores had been endless. Despite starting early, long before anyone else was awake, I had worked nonstop until the next day, with no breaks. Nathalia, the Alpha’s daughter, had been pleased to see me buried in work. She rejected anyone’s attempt to assist me and punished them severely—just like she always did. Her cruelty kept people away from me, their fear of her harsh punishments outweighing any sympathy they might have had.
