“It’ll be so much fun to break her, to make her crumble. I’ll crush her desires and erase the position she longs for.” His voice dripped with hatred. “By the time I’m done with her, in her next life, she won’t trust anyone. Not even herself.”
Meanwhile, Rosa was lost in thought as she walked down the hallway. A gasp tore from her throat as she staggered, nearly losing her balance.
“What the fuck!” Rosa screamed in frustration before lifting her eyes to see who had bumped into her.
“You?!” Her eyes widened in shock as Aurora came into view.
“You bumped into me, but I’ll take the blame,” Aurora said, though her voice was laced with arrogance. “You should watch where you’re going next time and stop getting lost in your thoughts,” she continued, walking away. But Rosa’s hands were quick to grab her, slamming her back against the wall. Aurora winced in pain.
“Are you insane? Don’t you dare speak to me like that. Know your place,” Rosa roared in anger.
Rosa’s patience wore thin as she fought the urge to end Aurora’s life right then and there. The more she looked at her, the stronger the desire to strangle her overwhelmed her. But she knew she had to stay composed. Now wasn’t the time or place.
“Who even let you in?!” Rosa demanded.
“The Alpha Kings,” Aurora replied, her pride still intact despite the pain she was enduring.
Rosa smirked. “I can assure you, you’ll be gone forever. No one wants you here. Not even Damon.”
A wicked smile spread across her face as she saw pain flash through Aurora at the mention of Damon’s name.

“You’re nothing but a slut. The only reason the brothers are after you is because of your body. When they’re done with you, they’ll toss you aside like the worthless piece of shit you are. You’re a slave, and you need to know your place,” Rosa taunted, enjoying Aurora’s obvious distress.
“What happened to your bastard child?” Rosa sneered. “Did you abort it since Damon won’t accept it? I hope he rots in hell.”
Aurora’s eyes filled with tears. “Don’t say that about my child. I didn’t abort him. He died.” The painful memory of her miscarriage flooded her thoughts.
“Good for him. You’ll be joining your son soon enough in hell,” Rosa threatened, tightening her grip on Aurora’s neck.
Damon
My heart nearly exploded in my chest with excitement as I walked toward the private ward where Devin and Dax were receiving treatment.
I couldn’t get them out of my head. It was as if they occupied every thought in my mind.
For the first time in a long while, I felt truly alive. I felt complete. With my brothers by my side, I couldn’t help but thank the Moon Goddess for keeping them safe. The void in my heart that had lingered for so long was finally filled.
Everything felt so perfect, it was almost surreal.
“If this is a dream, I don’t ever want to wake up,” I muttered, a satisfied smile crossing my face.
Jasper smirked, glancing at me from the corner of his eye before playfully smacking me on the back of the head.
