Chapter 239:
The longer she stayed beside him, the more she began to feel worthless.
She would teach him a lesson he’d never forget. Next time, he would learn to keep his mouth shut and show her the respect she deserved. However, she wasn’t sure how Silas would react if he found out that she had dealt with Ray herself. He hated being disobeyed.
Rosa knew better than to let her emotions get the best of her. She would wait patiently, watching him until he let his guard down, and then she would take action, placing the blame on someone else. Until then, she would play her cards carefully.
After finishing her shower, she walked out of the bathroom and stood before the mirror.
She ran her hands over her body, imagining Damon caressing her. Since her time in the dungeon, he hadn’t touched her, and it was driving her mad. She missed being suspended from the ceiling, being made to do the unthinkable. She missed his rough touch and his hard body.
A frown appeared on her face as she tried to picture Damon with Aurora. She couldn’t help but wonder how Aurora could handle his twisted fantasies, especially considering Damon’s love for BDSM. Aurora seemed so innocent and fragile.
Did the King take her gently?
Certainly not.
Damon was never gentle. The only girl he had ever been gentle with was Ivy, his late mate. After Ivy’s death, Damon had become a worse version of himself.
She adjusted the towel on her body as droplets of water continued to fall from her wet hair. Standing naked before the mirror, the towel began to slip off. She reached for her body cream, opening the bottle, but suddenly the door burst open, causing her to flinch. The plastic bottle slipped from her hands, spilling some of the contents onto the floor.
Rosa’s eyes darted to the door before flaring in both anger and shock.

“Ray?” she called in surprise.
“What’s gotten into you? How dare you? Don’t you have any manners? Have you forgotten how to knock? You can’t just barge into my room like that. You’re not worth it,” she spat, her eyes blazing with fury.
The only person who ever barged into her room without knocking was Damon. How dare Ray do the same?
“Are you high on cheap drugs?”
She quickly grabbed her towel and wrapped it tightly around her body.
The audacity!
“Come off it,” he said calmly, a smile playing on his lips as he made himself comfortable on the couch. He stretched out, relaxing even further, spreading his legs wide. Reaching for a bottle of wine that was sitting on the table, he poured himself a glass and took a sip.
“How refreshing,” he moaned in satisfaction before letting out a loud burp.
“Are you insane?! Can’t you see I’m not dressed? That drink isn’t for peasants like you. Get out!” she ordered, her voice seething with anger.
She was ready to tear him apart.
“And if I don’t?” he dared, taking another sip.
“Gods help me if I don’t make you pay for this disrespect,” she warned, her fury rising.
