A Demonial Destiny: The Alpha Triplets - Chapter 183

Chapter 183:

I wasn’t comfortable with any kind of same-sex closeness.

“Or not,” he said, his voice dropping as he pulled back and stared out the window in silence.

Much better.

I shifted uncomfortably in my chair, relaxing my back and loosening my tie. My head began to throb as countless thoughts filled my mind.

I wiped my sweaty palms on my lap before checking the time again. Still 6:40?!

Maybe if I ignored it, time would move faster.

Frustrated, I let out a groan, unintentionally drawing Jasper’s attention.

“You need to tell me what’s eating you up,” Jasper said, walking away from the window and sitting at the edge of my desk.

“Nothing,” I gritted my teeth, letting out a tense sigh.

“Seriously? But your face doesn’t look like you’re fine to me.”

Goddess! Fucking let me be!

“Everything is perfect,” I growled, my frustration evident in my voice.

Jasper scoffed, facing me. “Then explain why you’re sweating when the AC is on. Your words don’t add up, you know.”

I let out a frustrated sigh, tired of his relentless questions. “Fine. You’ll know soon enough,” I replied. But I knew my response wouldn’t silence him.

“Why? Is it serious? I’m your Beta, your right-hand man. I should know what’s bothering you. I’ve never seen you like this. That’s why I’m asking.”

“I know. Just stay put. I’ll tell you about it soon,” I assured him. Relief washed over me when I saw him nod in understanding.

“Have you checked on Aurora today? The doctor said it would be good for the father to bond with the baby, even though it’s still in the womb. She also mentioned Aurora would need another scan to determine the baby’s position. She asked if Aurora’s getting enough bed rest…”

“Stop it!” I yelled, cutting him off. I couldn’t help but bang my fist on the table, sending papers scattering to the floor.

Jasper gasped, shocked by my outburst.

“I don’t want to hear another word about her,” I warned.

“I see,” he said quietly, falling silent.

“What about the meeting at the neighboring pack? You were supposed to leave.”

“They can wait,” I replied firmly.

I watched the clock’s hand slowly tick to 7 a.m., my heart pounding as the moment of truth drew nearer.

In an instant, I stormed out of the office, heading straight for Aurora’s room.

Now was the time to face reality.

“My King… wait!” Jasper’s voice trailed behind me as he rushed to catch up, but I didn’t stop.

“Because seeing is believing. If the picture hasn’t convinced you, a live movie will play before your eyes. I’m sure that will be enough to show you that Aurora isn’t who she claims to be.”

A demonial destiny the alpha triples – Sneak Peek Aurora I let out a weary sigh as my eyes met the enormous clock on the wall. It was past 1 a.m. Yesterday’s chores had been endless. Despite starting early, long before anyone else was awake, I had worked nonstop until the next day, with no breaks. Nathalia, the Alpha’s daughter, had been pleased to see me buried in work. She rejected anyone’s attempt to assist me and punished them severely—just like she always did. Her cruelty kept people away from me, their fear of her harsh punishments outweighing any sympathy they might have had.
