Chapter 169:
“Good girl. Now, what do you want me to do?” he asked, his voice softening.
“It’s simple,” she said. “I just want you to be in a relationship with her. Have an affair. Kiss her, touch her. She might act like she disapproves, but secretly, she likes it. Her ‘no’ means ‘yes.’ That’s all.”
“It seems pretty easy,” Ray remarked, his tone laced with skepticism.
“Why do you want me to get into a relationship with her, knowing who she was to the King?” he asked, his eyes narrowing as he studied Rosa.
“That’s none of your business,” Rosa snapped, her teeth gritting in anger as she stared into the distance. “But she’s in my shoes, and I want them back. Silas will give you your old job back as the gardener. Be friendly. I’m counting on you. Play your cards well.”
Ray raised an eyebrow, considering her words. “Alright then, when do I get my reward?”
“You’ll get three bags of gold as soon as I leave, and two more when the mission is complete,” Rosa replied coldly.
Ray nodded, a satisfied smirk spreading across his face. “That’s fair enough. I’m in. But let’s get to the important part of this arrangement.” His hands began to roam over her body, his movements growing more aggressive as he closed the distance between them.
Rosa’s irritation flared as his rough hands touched her skin, but she clenched her jaw, reminding herself of the stakes. She had no choice. She had to reclaim her position, no matter the cost.
“Take off your clothes,” Ray commanded, his voice low and demanding.
Rosa hesitated for a moment, her hands trembling as she began to undress. But before she could finish, Ray pounced on her, tossing her dress aside and tearing her pants into shreds. He buried himself inside her without warning, his movements harsh and unrelenting.

“Goddess!” Rosa screamed, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face. She clutched the bed sheets tightly, her knuckles turning white, while Ray continued to pound into her mercilessly from behind. The pain was overwhelming, but she forced herself to endure it, her mind focused on the goal that had driven her to this desperate arrangement.
Aurora
Who says marigolds aren’t beautiful?
Staring at the Colossus Red Gold marigold before me, I couldn’t help but get lost in its rare beauty. The deep burgundy petals, gilded with gold, were enough to make me fall in love with it and lift my mood.
Perfect!
I couldn’t take my eyes off the beauty in front of me. Overtaken by pregnancy hormones, tears welled up in my eyes, but I quickly blinked them back.
I hated when my emotions controlled me.
I didn’t want to lose it in front of a stranger.
“They are worth it,” I stammered, taking the bouquet from the strange man’s hand.
Waking up without Damon by my side made me sad, especially when he told me he’d be gone for days. I didn’t know how I would cope without him. It felt as though my happiness depended on him, and now that he was leaving, it broke me.
But all wasn’t lost.
Just as I thought I would be miserable, the goddess sent me a friend. Though he looked dangerous, he seemed friendly and chatty. His presence banished the sadness I felt, and suddenly, my dull moment became lively.
