“Give him reasons to doubt Aurora. Plead with him daily that you were pushed into doing what you did. And it wasn’t your intention to fool him.”
“But Uncle, it’s Damon we’re talking about. I doubt he’ll give me a listening ear,” Rosa said in worry.
“Everyone knows Damon as an impatient person. He gets blinded by anger and doesn’t think things through.”
“Before diving into it, that is his weakness. He is hot-tempered, and that is what we will use against him.”

Rosa’s eyes widened in disbelief. It was as if she was seeing a new version of her uncle. No doubt, he was dubious and cunning, but he didn’t buckle under pressure. Rosa was certain that the situation was affecting him deeply, making him think more critically.
“What is his weakness?” she asked, scolding herself for getting lost in her thoughts while he spoke.
He hated repeating himself.
“Ask me one more time, and I’ll cut off your left ear,” he snapped, his voice filled with irritation. “I see no reason why I’m thinking hard, and you can’t remember what I just said. Maybe it would be best if you were without ears. You’re worse than a dummy!” He flared, panting as his anger got the best of him.
Rosa felt the sting of his words, though they cut deep like painful lashes against her skin. But she wouldn’t let it affect her. His solution to her predicament was what mattered most.

“I’m sorry, Uncle,” she apologized, bowing her head in respect.
Silas’ heart softened slightly, and he cleared his throat. “Damon has a hot temper that makes him react impulsively. Unlike his brother, Devin, who is calm and collected in most situations. Devin is very calculative, and he doesn’t get blinded by his anger, though he is dangerous,” he paused briefly to catch his breath.
“Dax, on the other hand, is just a playful bastard. He doesn’t take things seriously and is carefree, but he thinks about his decisions before making them—not as much as Devin, though,” he continued, staring into space as if he could see them all.
“Good thing we got rid of Devin and Dax, because the triplets were too strong together. Despite how impossible it seems, getting rid of Damon is easier because of his temper. Once he starts questioning Aurora’s integrity, then you strike. Trust me, before she could defend herself, he’d have beheaded her out of rage. Boom, Aurora is out of the way, along with his child, because he’d believe the baby belonged to the lowlife. You won’t need to worry about competition, because you’ll be the only one he turns to.”
“Again, Damon has a habit of rewarding those who please him well. I’m sure he’s rewarded you many times during sex,” Silas’ eyes flickered toward Rosa.
Covered with mortification, she quickly looked away, attempting to hide the blush creeping up her cheeks.
“You’re his slut, I understand. You don’t need to feel ashamed about it. What I’m saying is that he will ask you what you want, and you will plead with him to restore your position. Gaining his trust back will be difficult, but once you do and become Luna, we will strike.”
