Chapter 161:
The Alpha King was never ashamed.
“I know it looks like I’m the bad guy, but if we dig deeper, you’ll see that I’m not. Aurora is the real villain here,” she continued.
“What do you mean?” I asked, confused.
“Aurora is a lying bitch who needs to be gotten rid of. She isn’t who you think she is,” she said, trying to sound convincing.
But I wasn’t moved. Aurora was the sweetest soul I had ever known. She couldn’t fool me twice.
“I know you’re excited, but the baby in Aurora’s womb doesn’t belong to you.”
That was the last straw, and my eyes flashed with anger.
It took every ounce of self-control I had not to rip Rosa apart.
“Gag her. Make sure she doesn’t spill any more nonsense!” I ordered the guard, my fury rising as I stormed out of the dungeon.
“That child doesn’t belong to you, my King! You need to accept the truth!” She continued screaming, her words muffled as the guards silenced her.
Unknown
The loud thumping of Silas’ heavy black boots against the floor broke the silence that enveloped the heart of the dungeon. All eyes were glued to their feet as Silas made his way straight to Rosa’s cell.
His dreadful aura and high position within the castle were enough to instill fear in everyone around him.

Turning sharply, he motioned to the guards, demanding their absence, which they quickly obeyed. No one wanted to get on his bad side.
Satisfied by their compliance, he stopped in front of an isolated cell. His hands fumbled in his pockets for a moment before he pulled out the keys and unlocked the door.
His face darkened as he gritted his teeth in anger. Muttering curse words, his eyes were fixed on Rosa, who was fast asleep.
A surge of anger rose in Silas’ throat, causing him to shake his head as he glared at her.
Her feet were bound to a chain that was anchored to the floor, while her hands were shackled to a chain connected to the ceiling. She stood in place, her head slumped sideways, her hair partially shielding her face.
“Fucking idiot!” he spat, growling loudly as he tried to control his fury.
The sound alone was enough to jolt Rosa from her slumber.
Consumed by anger, Silas felt the overwhelming urge to rip her apart, limb by limb. But it wasn’t time yet.
How could she have been so careless?
How could she have ruined everything they had worked for over all these years? He should never have trusted her with such a delicate task.
Above all, one thought troubled him the most.
He hoped she hadn’t revealed his name. That alone would cause a massive setback in his life. Aside from being thrown into the dungeon like a common prisoner, he would be stripped of his position as councilman.
She dared not reveal his name or identity.
