A Demonial Destiny: The Alpha Triplets - Chapter 150

Chapter 150:

The emptiness was driving me mad.

Suddenly, a massive double door appeared before me, wide open, as though inviting me in.

Without a second thought, I moved toward it, desperate to escape this frightening place.

As I was about to step inside, a faint sound reached my ears.

Maybe my senses were deceiving me.

I decided to wait for a few seconds before confirming what I had heard. Before long, the strange noise filled my ears again, leaving me shocked.

Did I just hear the cries of a baby?

Who would abandon their baby in this wilderness?

I stepped away from the door, allowing my ears to guide me toward the source of the wailing.

“There you are, little cutie. Where is your mummy?” I asked softly, as I approached the baby sitting on the floor. I spoke to him as if he could understand me.

Just as I was about to pick him up, a deafening noise suddenly rang in my ears, violently pulling me back to reality. The effect of the screeching sound left me uncomfortable, and I winced in pain.

Gradually, I regained my senses, becoming aware of my surroundings. I wasn’t sure how long I had been out, but I was completely still, as if frozen in place.

Darkness enveloped me as my eyes remained shut. It didn’t take long before I realized that it had all been a dream. The wilderness was gone… there was no crying baby.

I furrowed my brow in confusion.

Why had I dreamt about a baby?

Why did I feel as though something connected me to that baby? Even though I had never seen him, I couldn’t shake the overwhelming sense of compassion, affection, and love for him.

What was it about the baby that drew me in so strongly?

Slowly, I attempted to open my eyes, but it felt as though my eyelids were too heavy. The blinding light above me sent me reeling, and I shut my eyes immediately, overwhelmed by the brightness.

A sharp pain began to throb in my head from the intense light. Summoning all my courage, I tried to adjust to the brightness. My eyes finally opened wide.

I couldn’t move a finger. It felt as if an invisible force held me firmly to the bed. The bed? How did I get here?

A wave of surprise swept through me as I scanned the sterile white room around me.

Voices from the room were still incoherent as I tried to make out what they were saying. Why was everything white?

What was this strange string attached to my arm? My vision was still blurry, making it difficult to recognize anything around me.

Confusion overwhelmed me as I followed the string that was connected to my hand. It led up to a small pole, with a transparent bag filled with clear fluid hanging from it. That could only mean one thing.

Was I on a drip? What was wrong with me?

A demonial destiny the alpha triples – Sneak Peek Aurora I let out a weary sigh as my eyes met the enormous clock on the wall. It was past 1 a.m. Yesterday’s chores had been endless. Despite starting early, long before anyone else was awake, I had worked nonstop until the next day, with no breaks. Nathalia, the Alpha’s daughter, had been pleased to see me buried in work. She rejected anyone’s attempt to assist me and punished them severely—just like she always did. Her cruelty kept people away from me, their fear of her harsh punishments outweighing any sympathy they might have had.
