Chapter 110:
Despite how convincing her story sounded, it was hard to believe her.
“You think I’m… lying?” she burst into tears, then brought her arms close to me. “If you think I’m lying, then how do you explain these marks and scratches?”
I stopped, staring at the scratches in confusion.
As much as I almost believed Rosa, I found myself torn between two possibilities.
What if Rosa had scratched herself deliberately and was trying to frame Aurora?
Or could Aurora, in a fit of anger, have hurt her despite knowing she was pregnant?
Anger surged in my chest, part of me wanting to be furious with Aurora for touching Rosa when she was carrying my child, while the other part remained quiet, observing.
There was only one way to get the truth.
“Where is Aurora?” I demanded, turning to Rosa, who sat on the couch, watching my every movement.
I could swear I saw her flinch when our gazes met. What was she hiding?
“There’s no need for that delusional girl to be here. I don’t want to hear her screaming in my face about how I seduced you. She even told me she’d kill my child just to get closer to you. That girl is a psycho. Send her away!” Rosa said urgently, panting as if she had just run a race.
I didn’t care about her ranting; I was asking where Aurora was.
I could feel a wave of irritation rising in my chest as Rosa avoided my gaze, lowering her head to look at her belly.
Why did she always try to manipulate me with my child to avoid punishment?

I didn’t need anyone to tell me that Rosa had punished Aurora.
Although I acted like I wasn’t concerned, anger flooded my veins at the thought that she had punished Aurora without informing me beforehand.
She was my property, not hers!
“I don’t care. I want to know where she is!”
“My King, she isn’t important, so why are you—”
“Where is the fucking girl, damnit?!” I growled, punching the table in frustration, before shooting her a warning look. I could taste her fear on the tip of her tongue, and it only fueled my anger knowing she was hiding something from me—something dark, something that could ruin my mood.
“Uhm… she…” Her chest thundered against her ribs so loudly that it filled my ears.
“Talk!” I screamed impatiently, fighting the urge to shake her violently.
“I need to hear from Aurora, where the fuck is she?” I demanded.
“She’s in the dungeon,” Rosa slowly revealed, causing my eyes to nearly pop out of their sockets.
Fuck!
How dare she?!
