Alice and Jack were sleeping soundly in the car.
Yanis had been looking outside with great anxiety. He liked to sleep during trips. It was the first time she was so energetic. She kept watching the cars passing by her. But she hadn’t seen Kennedy’s car.

Alice opened her eyes and asked, “Jack?”
“Mommy, your phone is vibrating,” Jack said.
Then she came to. She picked up the phone and discovered it was Zain.
“Your uncle is calling you. You answer it.”
“Okay.”
Jack answered the phone. Alice was still groggy after sleeping for a long time, so she didn’t answer the call.
Jack hung up the phone and then said, “Mommy, Zain said he would wait for us at the next crossing.”
“Why do you know where he is now?”
“I just sent him our location.” Jack then told Marco.
Marco nodded and said, “Understood.”
At the next intersection, Alice saw Zain’s car. He was standing not far from the intersection, giving them a look.
“That’s my uncle!” said Jack excitedly.
Alice glanced at Yanis. She was still asleep.
Jack asked, “Mommy, did we wake Yanis?”
“No, Yanis is tired. She just fell asleep. Let her rest.”
Then the two of them got out of the car together and headed for Zain.
“Zain,” Alice looked worriedly at the dark circles under Zain’s eyes and said, “I told you we are fine. You don’t have to come pick us up. It’s too late.”
Zain looked her over from head to toe to make sure she was okay. Then he said, “I’m worried about you.”
Alice said, “I sent you a message. We were fine at the time.”
Zain said, “I don’t think much. It’s good to see that you’re okay now.”
“Zain!”
Jack came over to hug Zain as they chatted. Zain rubbed his head gently and then easily carried him in his arms with one hand. He asked, “Are you tired?”
“I’m not tired at all. Zain, thank you.”
“It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have urged you to come back.”
“Come on, get in my car. I’ll take you back to the Nelson Family.”
“Wait a minute.”
Alice looked back, turned to Marco and said, “Marco, please come back with us. Yanis is still sleeping. Please wake her up when we arrive later.” Marco nodded gently.
Down the street a familiar car was passing. The man in the car looked straight ahead with a cold face.
Then, unconsciously, he glanced in Alice’s direction.
At that moment, Alice had walked toward Zain’s car and then climbed into the car.
Kennedy only saw her face for a second. But he was dazed. When he came to his senses, he discovered that there was a car driving toward him in the left lane.
He frowned and turned the steering wheel quickly.

Alice and Jack had just entered the car when they heard a loud noise.
They both turned to look back and discovered that a car had collided with the one next to them and stopped.
