Chapter 354:.
Kennedy frowned and said, “Did I come here to buy stuff from you?”
“What’s wrong? You came to see your aunt, is there a problem with helping your aunt?”
Then she looked at him.
“No.” Kennedy turned her down and said, “You can go by yourself.”
“Okay,” Annie got up and said, “Then take me to the grocery store.” He was a little disgruntled and said nothing.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“The supermarket is close by, why do you need a ride?”
“Just do it.”
Kennedy finally followed her to the supermarket.
“The air here is much better than B-town. B-town is overcrowded. You know how I was sometimes running late when I was in B-town? This time the hospital moved me to City S. It’s lucky for me.”
After entering the supermarket, Annie asked him to get a shopping cart.
Kennedy dutifully did as she told him.
The girls in the supermarket were excited and stared when they saw Kennedy.
“Gosh, that man is so handsome, is that his girlfriend standing next to him?”
“I think the woman is his mother.”
“No, she looks young.”
“They must be from a rich family. They look alike. Unfortunately, I want to ask him if he has a girlfriend and get his number.”
“He won’t be in love with you. There must be many women for him to choose from. You are just an ordinary person. He won’t be attracted to you.” The cashier gave Kennedy a regretful look and Annie walked away.
Kennedy was still scowling.
Annie caught her words. She smiled and said to Kennedy, “These girls were attracted to you.”
Kennedy felt unhappy and said, “Annie.”
“Well, I won’t say it again.” Then she sighed helplessly, “Since Charlotte left, you…”
“Annie!” His words struck her heart. He frowned in discontent and paused.
Annie said, “All right. Let’s go.”
So they went to the second floor.
After a while, Alice and Jack arrived at the supermarket. As they entered it, Jack raised his head and said, “Mommy, can I take off my hat?”
At his words, Alice looked around and saw that there was no one following them.
Besides, it was probably because she had just returned home yesterday, so the reporters were following her. It didn’t make sense that they would continue to follow her.
Thinking about this, Alice nodded and said, “Yes.”
Then Jack cheerfully took his hat off his head and said, “Thanks, Mom.”
She held out her hand to his head and said, “Come, let’s get a shopping cart and then we’ll go shopping for fresh food.”
“Mommy, I’ll push the cart.” Jack immediately went to push the shopping cart.
Several girls who had just met Kennedy saw Jack. Then they all opened their eyes and tugged at their sleeves.
“I’m right. That man is not single. I thought he just had a girlfriend, but I didn’t expect him to have a son.”
“A son? What are you talking about?”
“Look at that kid, he looks exactly like the man we met before.”
Other girls looked at Jack and said, “My goodness! They look alike. I was planning to ask him for his number. But now he has a son.”
“They must come together. Alas, handsome men are never single.”
One of them couldn’t help but call out to Jack, “Honey, your father’s gone upstairs.”
Jack pointed to himself in confusion and asked, “Did you just speak to me a moment ago?”
“Wow, he’s so handsome! That man is so cold. They’re different.”
They approached Jack, pulled out a shopping cart and said, “Yes, your father has gone up to the second floor.”
They reminded him politely.
Jack blinked. Although he couldn’t understand what they were saying, they seemed kind. He nodded and said, “Thank you.”
“You’re very handsome, can I pinch your cheeks?” a girl asked him.
Jack paused and extended a finger. Just when the girl thought he would allow her to pinch his cheeks, he shook his little finger and said seriously, “No.” The girls were disappointed.
Alice arrived in high heels.
She stood in front of them with a bag, smiled, and asked, “Hi, what happened?”
“Mommy.” Jack walked over to Alice and took her hand.
Hearing Jack call her Mommy, the girls were embarrassed and said, “Sorry, Miss, your son is very cute, so we just said hello.”
Alice was almost used to this situation. Still she asked them politely, “I see. Jack, say goodbye to them, we have to go shopping.”
“Goodbye, ladies.”
Alice smiled at them and left with Jack.
As soon as he left, the girls started talking.
“You see? His wife is so pretty and attractive, she can’t compare to us.”
“Let’s forget it.”
“Why did they go to the supermarket separately?”
“They must go to buy different things. They came at different times.”
