Chapter 257:
Gnashing his teeth, Kennedy looked at the woman with red eyes. He felt it was abominable when she said that, but he felt sorry to see her sad.
An uneasy mood arose in his mind. Kennedy didn’t know what to do at that moment.
Charlotte continued, “It’s not a decision.”
“Then don’t mention divorce.”
Charlotte paused and looked at him, “Then give me an explanation, explicitly.”
Kennedy sensed she was jealous and questioned her. But before she said it, she still planned to keep it from him, so she didn’t admit it.
“What explanation do you want?”
Charlotte curved her lips and looked at him with a bitter smile. “At this point, don’t you want to say it yourself? Or do you just like having affairs with two women?”
“What the hell…” Kennedy ground his teeth, “What the hell are you talking about?” }
“You know who I saw today?”
Kennedy scowled at her, waiting for her next words.
Charlotte smiled, “Not only did I see Yanis, I saw Diana in the morning.”
Kennedy’s eyes turned cold, “You’ve seen her today?”
“Well, what a coincidence? I ran into her and saw she was wearing a pair of pink earrings in her ears, exactly the same as the ones I saw in the jewelry store. And just now you gave me another pair. It’s very unfortunate. Although they are very similar, they are different.”
Charlotte had clearly stated her words, Kennedy frowned deeply.
She wanted to hide it before the inquiry, but she had seen Diana.
And Diana had met her with that pair of earrings on? How must she have felt about that?
“Do you think I gave her those earrings?”
So she had such a big reaction when she opened the box?
Charlotte asked, “If it wasn’t you, who gave them to her?”
This question was very clear. Charlotte had stared at him, wanting to see something of his eyes, but Kennedy’s eyes were steady from start to finish.
Charlotte paused and heard him speak hoarsely to defend himself.
“If I say no, will you believe me or not?”
Charlotte didn’t speak, obviously not believing him. Otherwise she wouldn’t ask him.
“Why did you ask, how did he get the earrings if you hadn’t given them to him?” Charlotte asked, somewhat hysterically, after that she realized she had made a terrible faux pas.
She looked like a fool asking her husband if he loved her.
When had she become like this?
Thinking about this, Charlotte took a deep breath to suppress her anger and then turned her head away, “Forget it, I don’t want to talk about this anymore. Do whatever you want.”
With that, Charlotte pushed him away and wanted to get up. Kennedy pushed her back and said in a cold voice.
“I didn’t give you the earrings, and things aren’t what you think they are. Are you going to believe that?”
Seeing that she didn’t raise her head, he held her chin, forced her to look him in the eye, and again explained coldly, “I’ve never explained myself to anyone, you’re the first one to let me say so many words.”
Charlotte, “……”
She looked at him. “So, you feel that in addition to believing in you, I owe you a debt of gratitude for what you’ve done with me?”
Kennedy pursed her lips and said coldly, “Do you have to be so aggressive? Charlotte, what the hell do you want?”
Charlotte laughed out loud, her face pale against the light. “Don’t touch me, don’t talk to me and don’t ask me!”
Kennedy frowned and glared at her.
“You…”
“Let go of me!” Charlotte roared, shook off his hand and stalked toward her place, “Since the first day I married you, I’ve never had a good day. You don’t know how I’ve suffered every day. To stay, I agreed to your terms and signed the contract under your stress. Do you think I want to live like this? I’ve had enough.”
“Enough?” Kennedy narrowed her eyes, “Charlotte, do you know what you said?”
“Of course.” Charlotte lifted her chin, “I’m serious, we’re getting a divorce.”
“Excuse me?” Kennedy felt like she was being forced to divorce. She had said divorce a few times, which made him angry.
He was very angry.
But there was nothing he could do.
She was determined, Kennedy sneered, “Give up that thought. Since you married me, you’ll never get a divorce. You’re not going anywhere.”
Hearing that, Charlotte stood up on the spot and looked at Kennedy in disbelief.
“Why? I just advanced the contract.”
“Contract?” Kennedy’s eyes were cold, he said, “The contract is in my hand. I’m the initiator of the contract, the timing of terminating it is up to me.”
Charlotte, “…You’ve gone too far!”
Kennedy raised his eyebrows and showed a radian on his lips, “From the moment you married me, you are bound to me. Don’t try to escape.”
“As for the contract.” Kennedy glared at her, “If you think you have the right to terminate the contract early, I can tell you that I can destroy it.”
Charlotte, “What the hell do you want? You don’t like me. Do you have to tie me up? Can’t I just divorce you? You love each other and I’m okay with you being together, isn’t that enough?”
Kennedy’s eyes darkened.
“In my world, only I get to decide.
Besides, I don’t like her.”
Kennedy’s voice was low on the last sentence and Charlotte didn’t hear it. She only heard the first sentence. She was angry and didn’t want to talk to him and went back to her bed.
He didn’t change his clothes, but went straight to bed. Charlotte pulled the quilt over her head angrily and no longer paid any attention to Kennedy.
