Manfred was perplexed at that, as he never expected her to say such words to hurt him.
“Charlotte, think about it, are you serious?”. Manfred grabbed her wrist and asked.
Charlotte looked at him and said, “Manfred, I told you I can’t be with you, why don’t you give up? And Kennedy is my husband. How he treats me and how I feel is my business.”

“Are you really okay with that? Even though he’s embarrassing you and using you? Charlotte, why are you so stupid?”
Charlotte pursed her lips and did not speak. Manfred did not speak, but directly embraced her.
“Come to me, I can give you the happiness you desire. I will treat you much better than that Kennedy.”

“It’s the truth. Remember Reynold called me shortly after I got married? You were there too. Reynold asked me to keep an eye on Kennedy. In this marriage, he set me up with Kennedy as a pawn. Looking at Charlotte, Manfred couldn’t say a word.
“Looks like I’m right.” Charlotte’s smile became more sarcastic and she pressed the elevator button.
Before pressing the button, Manfred held her fingers and said in a tired tone.
“Yes, you’re right. At first I approached you for this purpose, but gradually I realized that … my feelings for you are getting out of hand. Charlotte, I have violated my original intent and I love you.”
He spoke with a depth of feeling that would move anyone.

With that, Charlotte shook off her hand and pressed the elevator button. As soon as the door opened, she stepped out of it.

“What did you say, you like Kennedy?”

Charlotte happened to walk into the finance department and bumped into Yanis, who was coming out of the tea room. They were stunned when they saw each other. In a moment, Yanis flashed a smile.
“Charlotte, you want to see me?”
Charlotte flashed an awkward smile and didn’t know how to answer his question.
Could he say it had been an accident?
Before she said a word, Yanis had dropped the cup in her hand and ran to her excitedly and then hugged her, “Great, I know you won’t be so cruel to ignore me all the time. Charlotte, I’m glad you came.”
Charlotte, “……”
Seeing that Charlotte was innocent and unassuming, she could only nod her head.
“Charlotte, you’ve ignored me these days, I thought we couldn’t be good friends, but you’re here. By the way, come with me, I bought you a present.”
