Chapter 17:
Kennedy Moore didn’t take her seriously, scoffing at the thought that she was faking it.
“I don’t mind you pretending to be pitiful.”
The small figure didn’t move at all on the floor.
Kennedy raised her eyebrows.
“Are you finished acting?”
Charlotte was still not moving at all. Kennedy squinted and began to deduce possibilities as she wheeled her wheelchair forward.
Now she noticed only that her face was as pale as a piece of paper and that her lips had also lost their red color.
Kennedy’s heart seemed to squeeze instantly.

After 20 minutes in the hospital corridor.
Kennedy sat in the wheelchair with a somber expression as he watched Nathan Myron was busy from front to back. When he finished, he turned to Kennedy.
“What happened to him?” asked Kennedy in an impolite tone.
Nathan replied, “The doctor mentions that there is a deficiency of blood and the addition of some illness and exhaustion so it hurts the boy a little. That’s all.”
Kennedy raised his eyebrows and instantly scoffed. “Pretending to be pitiful? How can that hurt the child?”
“Mr. Kennedy, Miss Wilson’s complexion is indeed very bad, this is the hospital diagnosis.”
Kennedy narrowed his eyes at Nathan and immediately replied, “Perhaps the hospital’s diagnosis was wrong, what do you intend to do now?”
Kennedy remembered that his earlier goal had not yet been met. He threw up all the pills he had given him. His eyes gradually became colder. “Contact the doctor and give her an abortion.”
Nathan stared at Kennedy. “Ken, Kennedy?”
“Do you think you can keep the child by pretending to be sick?”
“Miss Wilson didn’t do the abortion?”
Nathan rubbed his head. “That’s really too much. She’s your wife now. If you let this illegitimate child exist, wouldn’t you be the cuckold?”
He couldn’t help but begin to imagine Kennedy’s face turning green in this situation.
“Do you want to die?” A cold voice, like a basin of cold water, woke Nathan up. He turned unconsciously and nodded. “I’ll contact the doctor now.”
Nathan was out instantly. Kennedy turned his wheelchair into the room and the wheels slid into the white room in silence.
His nose was filled with the smell of disinfectant. The petite, slender figure of the woman was lying on the hospital bed with her hands placed carefully on her chest. She had a beautiful, peaceful expression, except for the pallor of her face and the color of her lips. She did not appear to be ill, but rather asleep.
She was obviously an intriguing woman, but she looked different when she was in a coma.
Kennedy slowly approached the bedside.
Her black eyes almost gripped Charlotte tightly.
She’s just pretending, isn’t she? If not, how else did she pass out at such a coincidental moment thinking she would keep that illegitimate child?
Kennedy could clearly see Charlotte’s eyelashes trembling as she slowly opened her eyes.
The newly awakened eyes slowly cleared the fog. Finally, she could clearly see the person in front of her.
His eyes felt like a pool of cold, clean spring water, very calm, as if it had been painted by an artist.
It was elegant, profound and moving.
Kennedy was stunned.
The next second, it looked as if a stone had been thrown to the surface of the spring water, causing ripples.
When Charlotte saw Kennedy, she sat up in fright as her small body shrank into a corner. Her eyes were full of unease.
She narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth. “I’m a demon?”
You were scarier than a demon. thought Charlotte silently in her heart. She lowered her eyes and dared not look directly at him.
“I beg you, let me stay with him.”
After a while, Charlotte begged him in a low voice.
Her voice was low, like the wail of an animal before it dies. It wasn’t loud, but it ended up tugging at Kennedy’s heartstrings all at once.
“Are you trying to persuade me with an illegitimate child?” Charlotte was speechless as she bit her lips hard.
“You stay in the Moore Family or you stay with him. Your choice.”
Charlotte lifted her head and looked at him helplessly. It was evident that she had not thought of any countermeasures. She was very anxious and helpless.
The two of them looked at each other like this while footsteps came from the hallway. Nathan appeared in the hall with the doctor.
“The doctor is here.”
Charlotte stared at his sudden appearance and doubts flashed through her thoughts.
What was the point of this?
Seeing Kennedy’s cold eyes, she suddenly understood the situation.
“Are you Miss Wilson, are you going to miscarry?”
“No!” Charlotte declined loudly. Her petite figure cowered in the corner because she didn’t want anyone to come near.
“Miss Wilson, it will be very painful if you don’t obey, if you don’t…” as Nathan finished speaking, there were about 3 men dressed in suits with black with black sunglasses appeared outside as if it was clearly planned.
If she didn’t obey, they would grab her by force.
But so what, she wouldn’t agree anyway!
“Don’t even think about it!” Charlotte bit her lower lip and looked at the men. “Stay away!”
Nathan shook his head helplessly. “Just hold her.”
“Yes!”
Some of them stepped forward and walked towards Charlotte. She was already prepared as she kicked and punched them as they approached.
Charlotte was acting like a crazy woman. She had forgotten that she had just fainted. She was being hyped up and excited at this point and darkness erupted in front of her. She quickly lost consciousness and fell limp on the hospital bed.
“Mr. Kennedy, she…fainted again.”
Kennedy scoffed as he watched the scene for quite a while. “It’s stupid of you to use the same trick again. Take her away.”
Nathan nodded and ordered the men to take Charlotte away.
Charlotte couldn’t resist as they took her away. Her long silky hair fell in disarray. The collar of her shirt was tilted to one side exposing her beautiful shoulders.
Kennedy felt instantly uncomfortable. Before he could react, people had already left.
“Let her go.”
Her hands shook slightly, was it Kennedy who spoke earlier?
“Are you all deaf?”
The men reacted on the spot and quickly put Charlotte down.
Nathan didn’t react in time and asked, “Mr. Kennedy, what’s wrong?”
Kennedy rolled the wheelchair over and stopped in front of Charlotte. He reached out and fastened the buttons that had popped open when she struggled a moment ago. Then he realized what he was doing.
Everyone was startled and looked at him as if he was doing something unusual.
He withdrew his hand as he reacted.
“It doesn’t matter, she’s still my wife. You’ll be dead if I know any of you have seen or touched anything you shouldn’t.”
Some of the men reacted quickly and nodded. “We understand, Mr. Kennedy.”
Kennedy noticed his shirt collar being tugged at by someone. He turned around looking at Charlotte who looked pitiful as if she were a stray animal.
She began to plead in a weak voice. “Kennedy, can we keep him?”
The next second her hand holding his shirt dropped as she fainted at the same time.
The room was completely silent. She sat without moving, as her attention was completely focused on that beautiful, handsome face.
After a while, Nathan felt a little lost and asked Kennedy. “Kennedy, do you still want to have an abortion?”
