At that moment, the people in the hall began to scream and applaud.
Bella’s POV:
Herbert finally let go of me, and I was able to breathe fresh air. I glanced at him, silently telling him that what he had done today was too disrespectful, but there was a playful smile of disapproval on his face.
At that moment, the emcee smiled and said, “It seems that the groom is tired.”
As soon as he said that, the audience burst into laughter.
The emcee continued, “Now it’s time to throw the flowers. Let’s give the groom a rest and invite the bride to throw the flowers for us!”
I took a step forward with a smile and took the bouquet of flowers from the hostess.
The emcee’s voice echoed through the venue.
“The bride will throw a bouquet of flowers that symbolizes marriage. If a single man or woman catches it, it means they will soon leave their single life behind and find their soulmate!”
Hearing this, the single men and women in the crowd scrambled forward. The hostess, who was maintaining order, stepped in and stopped them in a designated area.
I looked up, scanning the crowd of people eager to grab the bouquet, but I couldn’t find Joey. I really hoped that she could find her Mr. Wharton.
Since I couldn’t find her, I had no choice but to turn my back. Then, I closed my eyes and threw the bouquet behind me as hard as I could!
I heard the noise behind me and turned around to look, but I couldn’t see where the bouquet had landed.
Following everyone’s gaze, I realized the bouquet had actually landed on the beam of the searchlight!
I couldn’t help but open my mouth in surprise. I looked up at the tall beam, wondering if I really threw it that high.
Everyone’s eyes were fixed on the bouquet hanging from the beam. After a brief moment of silence, the emcee, who was momentarily stunned, quickly said, “It seems the bouquet has not yet found its owner, so it’s going to stay there for a little longer.”
The crowd erupted in laughter again.
Then, someone brought a long steel pipe and aimed it at the bouquet. With a quick push, the bouquet flew down.
The bouquet flew in one direction, and the crowd rushed to follow it. The next moment, the bouquet landed straight into the arms of a young woman in a white strapless dress!
Seeing the bouquet fall into her arms, I pursed my lips and smiled. Then, I turned to Herbert and said, “It seems to be God’s will. It’s Joey.”
“You’ve finally gotten what you wanted,” Herbert smiled and put his arm around my waist.
Joey’s POV:
I never imagined that the bouquet would land in my arms. A little excited, I held it tightly and thought, “Is my Mr. Wharton really going to appear?”
