Bride of Mr. Billion – Chapter 634

Bride of Mr. Billion - Chapter 634

Chapter 635:

However, the ambulance couldn’t carry so many people, so he had no choice but to release my hand. But even as he was carried up, he still smiled at me.

I sat in Hank’s car, following the ambulance to the hospital.

I felt like I was dreaming. Everything in front of me seemed too unreal. After this incident, I really didn’t know how to face Herbert again.

The car was unusually quiet. Hank frowned and drove, while I sat in the passenger seat, lost in my thoughts.

“You and Herbert should be together. Don’t waste any more time,” Hank suddenly said.

I turned to look at Hank and thought I must have misheard him.

“What did you say just now?”

Hank gave a wry smile and said, “He loves you, and so do you. You weren’t even afraid of death because of each other. There’s no need to torture each other anymore.”

My feelings became more complicated.

I knew that I loved Herbert and that he still cared about me.

But I couldn’t forget the harm he had caused me.

The past was like a ravine between us.

“You don’t understand what’s going on between us,” I said.

“As long as you love each other, that’s enough. Nothing else matters!”

Hank was a little excited when he said this.

I seemed to understand what Hank was thinking. His marriage with Betty was suffocating. One loved him as much as her life, while the other never truly loved her. It was truly sad for them to be tied together like this.

“What are you going to do next with Betty?” I asked as we were nearing the hospital.

I still remembered what Betty had said just before she jumped into the river: as long as Hank didn’t agree to continue living with her, she would die with Anne at any time.

That was terrifying. I felt that Betty had gone mad.

A few minutes later, Hank gripped the steering wheel tightly and said bitterly, “What else can I do? I’ll just be a walking dead from now on.”

Seeing the pain on Hank’s face, I realized that this man was truly pitiable. For this marriage, he had lost his job, his reputation, and his peace of mind.

Hank drove the car into the hospital. I saw that the ambulance in front had arrived first, and the medical staff were rushing the wounded inside as fast as they could. I opened the car door, and just as I was about to step out, I heard a man’s suppressed cry from behind me.

Turning my head, I saw Hank crying, his face buried in the steering wheel. His voice wasn’t loud, but it was incredibly sorrowful.

Bella’s POV:

The Hank I knew was not a weak person. But this was too difficult.

If I were in Hank’s shoes, making a choice would indeed be incredibly hard.
