“I know you don’t want me to be hit by a car…” he said, smiling.
Klein held me in his arms. I looked at his smiling face. Although I was still a little upset, I didn’t want to blame him anymore. Then, Klein laughed again.
“Would you like to go take a look at the human-shaped bolster in my wardrobe?” he asked.

“I want to sleep with you in my arms tonight. What should I do?”

“Klein, I’m really tired today. Let me rest for two days. I’ll wait until the night of our wedding, okay?”

I wasn’t enthusiastic about Betty’s attitude. I only said a few words out of courtesy. Betty and I had gone from being the closest sisters to becoming strangers. If it weren’t for Mom, Betty might not have even bothered to attend the wedding today.
“Betty, stop playing with your phone. Come over and see how your sister’s makeup looks today!” Mom called out to Betty, who was sitting at a distance. Reluctantly, Betty finally walked over with a cold expression on her face. Glancing at me in the mirror, she said curtly, “Mom, the makeup artist Klein hired is very famous in the city, and his skills are excellent. How could anyone like us find fault with it?”
Betty returned to her seat, and Mom muttered under her breath, “What’s with that attitude? Today is your sister’s wedding.”
