Chapter 416:
“What idea?” I asked, confused.
Klein then said, “My grandmother lives alone in the suburbs. The environment there is great, and the air is very fresh. She lives by herself, and the house is very large. There’s plenty of space for you to stay there. Why don’t you accompany her?”
I hesitated for a moment before choosing to refuse.
“That’s not a good idea. I’d be disturbing her life.”
“You won’t disturb her. You’d actually be helping me. My grandmother isn’t young anymore. There’s no one else at home except for a servant, and my mother passed away a long time ago.”
“I’m usually busy with work, so I can’t be there with her often. If you live there, you can help me take care of my grandma, chat with her, and watch TV shows together. She’ll definitely be happy.”
“Bella, this is what I need your help with. Are you willing to help me?” Klein said, his voice earnest.
“But…” I was still in a dilemma.
I knew it wasn’t just that grandma needed my company. It was that Klein hoped I would accept his help with ease.
Klein then added, “Although your situation is stable now, pregnancy can still bring a lot of complications. If you’re alone in Wharton, what if something happens to you? Even if you don’t care about your own well-being, you still have to consider the safety of the baby. The baby can’t afford any accidents.”

Those last two sentences struck me the most. I had nowhere else to go, and no one to take care of me.
I lowered my gaze to my growing belly. I hesitated for a moment, but in the end, I agreed.
“Then I’ll go and stay with your grandmother for a few months.”
“Okay! I’ll call her now,” Klein said happily as he walked out.
I sat alone at the dining table, feeling a mix of emotions.
It felt as though there was an invisible hand pushing me forward, and I had no idea where I would end up.
Bella’s POV:
Two days later, Klein drove me to his grandmother’s home, “Judy’s place.”
After about an hour of driving, Klein parked the car in a beautiful area. The scenery here was stunning. There was a green mountain nearby, and a small, clear river where you could see tiny shrimps and fish swimming.
Autumn was in full swing, and the apple trees, persimmon trees, and date trees were all heavy with fruit.
Behind the trees stood a house with a red roof and white walls. It was so picturesque, like something from a fairy tale.
Standing there, I felt every breath of air was fresh and pure. No wonder Klein’s grandmother loved living here alone.
The thought of staying here for a few months made me feel a bit happy.
“This place isn’t bad, is it?” Klein asked.
