Bride of Mr. Billion – Chapter 311

Bride of Mr. Billion - Chapter 311

Chapter 312:

“Last time, I was careless when we got married. I bought you a ring without much thought. This time, I wanted to give you the very best.”

His words filled me with warmth. I lowered my gaze, toying with the diamond ring on my finger, and joked, “Then you better buy me a safe.”

“What do you mean?” Herbert asked, raising an eyebrow.

I looked up at him with a playful smile.

“I’m afraid a thief might steal such a big diamond!”

Hearing this, Herbert smirked and said, “That’s a valid concern. But getting another safe is too much trouble. Why don’t you just move into my place tomorrow? There’s a big safe there—you can keep as many valuables as you want.”

“Okay.”

I agreed without thinking, only to regret it the next second. How had I let myself be so easily tricked into moving in with him? I had been so distracted by the ring that I hadn’t fully processed what he was saying. I had agreed too quickly.

“I feel like you set me up,” I muttered.

“You can’t take it back now! From this moment on, you’re mine for the rest of your life. I’ll take care of you myself.”

Herbert declared possessively, looking down at me with an air of triumph.

Bella’s POV:

Herbert was truly an overbearing yet affectionate man.

I hesitated for a moment before obediently curling up in his arms. Our hands intertwined, and the warmth between us lingered.

I had never imagined that I would fall in love with a man like Herbert, let alone marry him—not once, but twice.

As I traced my fingers along his handsome face, a deep sense of satisfaction filled me.

He pulled me closer and murmured, “I have an important meeting tomorrow. Let’s go apply for the marriage certificate the day after.”

I nodded in agreement, and he tightened his embrace around me.

The next day, I woke up at noon.

By then, Herbert had already left for work, but he had prepared breakfast for me. A small note sat beside the neatly arranged meal.

“Baby, remember to have breakfast.”

Baby…

It was too sweet. A rush of happiness filled my chest, and I couldn’t stop smiling. After freshening up, I sat down to eat, still lost in the memories of last night.

From evening until morning, we had been together five times, and each time had left me breathless. Herbert’s stamina was beyond anything I had ever imagined.

I stood in front of the mirror, taking in my reflection. My eyes were slightly swollen, my hair was a mess, and my pajamas were crumpled—but the smile on my face never faded. It was a warm, blissful kind of happiness.

Was this love?

I had never felt anything like this before.

Thoughts of Herbert consumed me. We had only been apart for a few hours, yet I already missed him.

Shaking my head to clear my thoughts, I finished my meal and turned to my wardrobe.
