Chapter 724:
Meanwhile, viewers watching the live stream were buzzing, trying to guess the designers’ identities based on their moves and styles. The comment section was already lively.
“Look at the one in the middle—those smooth, confident sketches. That has to be Arthur!”
“See the designer on the far right? Already cutting the T-shirt without hesitation. Bold move. Honestly, it’s a bit nerve-wracking. What if they mess it up?”
“Hey, it’s been three minutes, and the third designer still hasn’t moved. Did they fall asleep or something?”
“Two hours isn’t that long. Looks like that one just came to show face and isn’t taking it seriously.”
“Which company brought that one? They shouldn’t even be allowed next time. Just wasting a spot.”
Soothing music played throughout the venue, but the tension was thick in the air.
Even Dustin, watching from his office, felt the pressure. He sat stiffly, eyes glued to the screen.
Suddenly, a knock broke the silence, making him jump.
He sighed and stood, clearly annoyed. “Who’s bothering me during such an important moment?”
He opened the door—and froze. Collin stood there, cool and unreadable.
“Collin? What are you doing here?” Dustin’s mood shifted instantly. He forced a smile and stepped aside. “Didn’t you say you were leaving everything about this year’s competition to me?”
Collin walked in calmly. “I had some time this afternoon, so I thought I’d stop by.”
He sat down on the sofa and added in an even tone, “Whether Arthur wins or not will decide if we can take our brand global this year.”
Dustin shut the door and quickly joined him on the couch. “Don’t worry. It’s been almost ten minutes, and Arthur’s already ahead. Just look at that design style—it’s on another level.”
Collin looked at the screen and asked, “Is the one in the middle Arthur?”
Dustin nodded. “Yes. Each company only knows which designer they brought. No one knows where the others are from.”
After a short pause, Dustin continued confidently, “Relax. The other designers aren’t impressive. Two of them are visibly nervous, even with gloves on. And the funniest one? The third from the left. It’s been ten minutes, and that designer hasn’t even moved.”
Before he could finish, the screen showed a shift. The once-still hands began retrieving tools from the drawers and neatly arranging them across the workstation—each movement crisp and controlled.
Dustin scoffed, “Well, it seems our slowpoke finally decided to wake up. Still, I doubt that kind of start will lead anywhere. Especially with such a dull theme this year.”
He leaned back smugly, expecting a nod of agreement—but none came. Puzzled, Dustin turned toward Collin, only to find him staring intently at one of the screens.
Curious, Dustin followed his gaze—and realized it was locked on the designer he had just mocked.
