Chapter 349:
A small gasp escaped her lips as she stood up in a hurry. “I better get things fixed for the Alpha Kings. I have to go.”
My face fell, and a frown replaced my smile.
I really enjoyed Alex’s company.
“I understand. Very soon, you won’t have to do this anymore,” I blurted unconsciously before quickly restraining myself.
I was tired of her being a maid. I wanted her freedom. It would be a surprise to her.
“See you later. Be safe,” she waved at me before shutting the door.
Loneliness soon became my only companion, and before I knew it, sleep consumed me. I drifted into unconsciousness, dreaming about my parents.
“Ma’am? Ma’am? We’ve arrived.”
A gentle tap on my shoulder made me jerk awake. I hadn’t realized I had slept through the entire journey.
With sleepy eyes, I forced a smile, grabbing my purse and phone before nodding. “Let’s go.”
As my feet landed on the park house’s garage floor, goosebumps covered my skin. For a few seconds, I froze, mentally preparing myself for the event ahead.
When I had gathered myself, I waved at the driver, signaling that we could move forward.
“Thank you,” I mouthed when he helped me with my traveling box.
We were stopped by a mean-looking guard who scanned us from head to toe with a displeased expression on his face.
Judging by his appearance, I could tell he was new. My eyes swept across the group of guards standing by the huge mahogany double doors. They were all new, which explained their questions.

“Good morning, who are you, and what are your intentions?” I tapped the driver on his shoulder, signaling that he should back off while I handled the situation.
I cleared my throat, flashing a smile. “We are here to see the Alpha.”
A deep scowl spread across his face as he shrugged his shoulders.
“Do you have an appointment?” he asked reluctantly.
“I don’t,” I replied, silently blaming myself for not making one.
It wasn’t my fault—everything had happened so quickly. Who could have known that today would be the day I visited my parents?
“I’m sorry, but you can’t see the Alpha without an appointment. You can stay at the hotel down the road and come back tomorrow,” he said firmly.
“After you’ve booked an appointment,” he stated. I could feel my driver’s anger boiling over.
“Let me handle it, ma’am,” he offered.
I nodded, granting him permission, and leaned back to watch the little show unfold. He would regret making us wait.
“How about this, numbnuts? We are from the Triplet Alpha Kings, and we want to see your Alpha right now,” he gritted his teeth, flexing his fingers as if ready to land a heavy punch on the guard’s face.
No one dared mess with anyone sent by the Triplet Alpha Kings. Horror flashed across the guard’s face, and his expression shifted within seconds.
“This way, ma’am,” he said in an apologetic tone, leading the way into the house with regret written all over his face.
