A Demonial Destiny: The Alpha Triplets - Chapter 299

Chapter 299:

My breath came in short, ragged pants as my hands fumbled with the camera, my eager eyes inspecting it.

A deep frown settled on my face, quickly followed by anger and disappointment as I realized it was broken.

Damn it. I screwed up.

Overwhelmed with frustration, I desperately tried to switch the camera back on, but it was no use. Defeated, I tossed it aside before collapsing onto my bed, letting exhaustion take over.

It didn’t take long before I succumbed to a deep sleep.

I hadn’t shut my eyes for long when a soft, feminine voice filled my ears.

It was gentle, almost a whisper, yet compelling, alluring, and authoritative.

“Aurora,” it called again, louder this time.

The voice was powerful, almost ethereal. It sounded like the wind itself.

The enchantment in its tone was irresistible, drawing me in. Without realizing it, I started following it, allowing it to lead me wherever it pleased.

Suddenly, I found myself in the middle of the woods—alone and confused.

The voice had vanished, replaced by the chilling sounds of hungry wild beasts.

My frightened eyes darted around, searching for an escape route, but there was none. Giant trees had collapsed across the only visible path, blocking any way forward.

I couldn’t turn back either; everything behind me was shrouded in darkness. I didn’t even know which direction I had come from.

It didn’t take long before the voice called my name again, carried by the wind.

This time, I was certain it belonged to a woman. Judging by the tone, she sounded like she was in her late twenties. Her voice was clear, like the sound of rushing waters against a fountain—melodious and hypnotic, almost too beautiful to be human.

A siren. It had to be.

“Aurora!”

The voice rang out one final time before I jolted awake.

My eyes flew open as a sharp gasp escaped my throat. My heart pounded violently against my ribcage, fear sinking its claws deep into me.

Instinctively, my trembling hands clutched at my chest, as if trying to steady my erratic heartbeat. It was a strange dream.

Sitting up, I pulled the duvet over my exposed body, my eyes scanning the room for any trace of the mysterious woman. But there was no one.

Where could she be hiding?

The soft glow of the crescent moon hanging in the sky filtered through my window, casting an almost magical light across my room.

But I was too scared to fall back asleep, afraid of being lured away again by that eerie, enchanting voice.

Fear gripped me hard, making my teeth chatter.

“Aurora!”

A voice suddenly called.

A demonial destiny the alpha triples – Sneak Peek Aurora I let out a weary sigh as my eyes met the enormous clock on the wall. It was past 1 a.m. Yesterday’s chores had been endless. Despite starting early, long before anyone else was awake, I had worked nonstop until the next day, with no breaks. Nathalia, the Alpha’s daughter, had been pleased to see me buried in work. She rejected anyone’s attempt to assist me and punished them severely—just like she always did. Her cruelty kept people away from me, their fear of her harsh punishments outweighing any sympathy they might have had.
