A Demonial Destiny: The Alpha Triplets - Chapter 278

Chapter 278:

“Let him fucking go!” I repeated, my voice rising in intensity.

“No, he has to tell me what happened to my mate,” Devin insisted. His hand was still gripping Jasper tightly.

“He did nothing to our mate,” I blurted out, releasing a heavy sigh. Grief engulfed me, sending a cold shiver over my skin. I could feel goosebumps spreading across my body.

It was another level of déjà vu.

The moment I shut my eyes, memories flooded my mind. I could recall how I felt when the news about Ivy’s death was broken to me.

I was just beginning to recover when my Beta and Gamma walked into my ward.

The smell of death hung in the air, but I ignored the feeling.

Everything felt strange.

I could sense Ivy’s presence in the room with them, but I couldn’t see her.

It didn’t make sense. Her scent and warmth lingered around me, and I could even feel her gentle touch on my injured body.

It felt like it had just happened yesterday.

Jasper’s face was unusually sad and frightened.

Jasper was a man of war, and nothing ever made him afraid. I had always known him as an expert in masking his emotions, but that day was different.

The stench of fear and grief radiated from him.

After asking about Ivy and my pup, he started stammering. It was unlike Jasper to stammer. In that moment, I knew something was wrong. I knew Ivy was in danger, but I needed confirmation.

“I am sorry, my King, but Ivy and her pup are dead.” Those words echoed in my mind.

It took me a few seconds to process them as I was overcome with shock.

I thought it was a joke until I saw Ivy’s lifeless body being wheeled into the morgue.

I tore my clothes in shock and almost ran out naked, only to be stopped by Jasper’s timely intervention.

Devin’s fear intensified as the beat of his heart grew wild. He was afraid of the worst, but he didn’t want the worst to happen.

I had been there. I understood his feelings.

Tears blurred my vision, and I began to choke back sobs.

In my wildest imagination, I never thought I would be the one to announce the death of my mate.

The feeling was heart-wrenching.

After struggling with words for a few seconds, I finally cleared my throat and braced myself. I had to be strong for them.

“You remembered everything, but you didn’t remember the part where Ivy died,” I said slowly, letting the words sink in. I held my breath, waiting for their reaction, but I was met with silence.

They thought I was bluffing.

A demonial destiny the alpha triples – Sneak Peek Aurora I let out a weary sigh as my eyes met the enormous clock on the wall. It was past 1 a.m. Yesterday’s chores had been endless. Despite starting early, long before anyone else was awake, I had worked nonstop until the next day, with no breaks. Nathalia, the Alpha’s daughter, had been pleased to see me buried in work. She rejected anyone’s attempt to assist me and punished them severely—just like she always did. Her cruelty kept people away from me, their fear of her harsh punishments outweighing any sympathy they might have had.
